I have been visiting this forum and the old femshep voting section on facebook and there was much butt hurt from people about the fact the blonde femshep 5 was winning.  There was crap like "it's facebook this isn't a legitimate vote", there were people demanding that men should not be allowed to vote, I could go on with a whole list of butt hurt that was posted here on the forum and in the femshep voting topic.  I will say especially on the facebook page a lot of the butt hurt seemed to come from those wanting a ginger shepard.

Well it seems to me the ones most pleased that we have a "do over" are the ones voting for a ginger femshep.  I would also say most of the "butt hurt" seemed to come from the ginger hair "camp".  So I don't think it is unfair to say they were probably the catylst for this new vote.

I do hope that after this vote there is another round.... I hate those smudges in the redhair nose. I don't know if those are freckles or just bad lighting but I hate them.

I was saying it to respond to everyone who seem to want to attack anyone who voted for a red head shep.

True but most of that so called 'butthurt' was mostly from people who either disliked blondes, thought it was a bit sexist, didn't like face booke voting, or thought that mostly men voted for what they thought was hot. A minority of the anger was likely from a few people who wanted a different color hair for Fem shep 5.

No. The people who benefited mostly from this are the ones who wanted Fem shep 5 with a different color hair style. Like you said earlier in this thread Red head shep didn't get the majority of votes yet. Red head shep fans aren't the catalyst for the vote. Those who wanted a different hair color were the catalyst for the vote. The poll proves that. Admit it.

I don't mind complaining but when its not really that intelligent or just complaining for the sake of complaining then it gets annoying. Hell half of the complaints are basically people saying that others were complaining and thats why Bioware made a new poll which is blatantly false. Bioware even told us the reason why but people seem to content to ignore anything a developer says.

In theory yes but seeing they've said before default femshep won't be directly customizable you can assume her textures are high quality, like sheploo's. So there's a benefit to the preset over custom femshep.

The whole point of the voting is marketing the fem shep not having her in the game.

@bleetman: Yes well as for the "someone else and some other folks" line.I couldn't remember the name of the woman who is pregnant in ME 1 and has a little boy named Jacob in ME 2 who was very anxious about what to do.Rebekkah is her name I think.And the "other folks" is random characters that you can't interact with.like the hot red head on the Normandy SR- 1 who dies in the prologue of ME 2.

And as for Ken & Gabby.There hair is more red than brown.So I went with red.

I'm starting to think people are getting confused on the reason for what the voting was mostly for. The whole point of mainly is for they can market Fem Shep. Having to be able to play the new Fem shep in the game is mostly a bonus to me.

Honestly, I don't think anyone is that confused. I think they understand why there was a first poll and why there was a second, and why the Shep they like didn't win.

It takes a special kind of screw up to mess up a popularity contest.  Every high school student council across the US can pull one off with certainty every year, but a professional game development company can't do the same thing without making a royal mess of it.

So far femShep #5 between the original vote (31K+ votes) and vote #2 brought on by the whiners (another 4,500+ votes) is going to end up coming in last place while having over 3 times the number of votes of the winner.  Hard to believe you can mess something up that badly on accident.
