a lot of people said "Well, I really like this one's hairstyle, but would like some other color."

I didn't know asian was a hair color.

Gotta go to the DMV and update my license.

I was referring to the options offered in the first poll, #1-6 and their different hairstyles, eye color, ethnicities, everything. And I think you know that, you understood it well.

Yet I’m not surprised by your response.

What about the folks who voted for blonde (color) but would rather have it in a different hairstyle? Do they not deserve a second round as well? Why, because they didn’t bug the hell out of the Devs on Twitter? How is that fair?

Irrelevant. FemShep 5 already won the first round so why would the second round use the hairstyle of a different Shepard?  The style is the only thing that kept 5 from turning into 1, because many of the faces were pretty much the same, whereas the color didn't make that much of a difference.

The amusing thing is, the one that looks like Jane Shepard is winning by quite a margin. So, looks like we're getting a red head with green eyes, and slightly longer hair than traditional Jane.

I don't know why they bothered - they could have just made Jane a high def model instead of all this rubbish.

You didn't attempt to hazard a guess of the other Sheps.

@RynJ this whole debacle could have been avoided if they would have
1.announced there would be a second poll to change the hair color
2.Made every style white.

Funny thing is that's what a lot of people were saying Bioware should have done from the get go instead of letting fans vote. Turns out it didn't matter because the fans are just doing it for them. At least we got an interesting ride out if it I suppose.

Conversely, style is the only thing keeping #4 (round2) from turning into #2 (round1). What’s important or irrelevant, how did a new poll make itself necessary and at who’s request, and how many were they? How all these decisions came to be? Where was I?

Don’t fool yourself, this new round doesn’t prove anything.

The reason I said 2 was because it meant you were voting for the style, and not the color,it's neutral, people keep complaining there is a conspiracy against the blonde, but there were plenty of trolls that voted for the blonde cause they wanted the "barbie" type to ****** off those who didn't.

And I am absolutely not saying that blonde Shep was a "barbie" type, just to clear that up.

Definitely. Even better, if they would have announced round 1 as "Hairstyle" from the get-go.

And that would serve what purpose as 4 and 6 had darker complexions?  What you're putting forth is something that's divisive on a different line entirely.  In fact, I could say that Bioware knows what they're doing in such a poll in such an instance.  You'd have to put in the bold (as far as skin tone) in order to have a vote on just hair style.

I think he means make every hairstyle white, as in blank--not their skin.

I honestly don't care who ends up being the femshep on the box and trailer, i just want to play as blondeshep in-game, has there been a definitive answer on whether we can change her hair yet? because currently it seems like the answer varies depending on who is asked

As far as the high res preset is concerned, no.

Meaning playing a high res blonde FemShep is likely not going to happen now thanks to this second poll(ergh).

But otherwise, you can still make FemShep blonde in the character creator. She just won't have Sheploo quality.

Yes, I responded to the part I bolded, but my comment still stands in light of the fact that the representations would likely be kept the same.  Then it's "these 6 will definitely have these hairstyles, but the colors would be different".  Still doesn't make it fair in the least because 4 would still have that severe cut that none of the others have and many complained about.  In comparison to her the others would have practical hair styles.

You know, I've been thinking about your sour grapes, Tchones13. And so I thought: What if Shep #1, the one with the pixie cut, had been a spikey blonde (which would have been awesome), and Shep #5 had been a mousey brunette, and then Shep #1 had won? Now this is a highly unlikely scenario, because even with those hair colors, the longer-haired Shep would win, but just indulge me for a moment.

So let's say that after Spikey short-haired blonde shep wins, people complained about the hair color and Bioware does a second vote for hair color: would I mind? Would I feel it was unfair that the cool punkish spikey blonde didn't win? I've turned it around in my mind again and again, because I wanted to be fair to your position, but no matter how I view it, I always come to the same conclusion. If short-haired Shep had won, I wouldn't care WHAT her hair color was. If she'd won on the strength of being blonde, and then the re-vote made her brunette, or red-head, or any other hair color, I wouldn't have given a damn. I would just be happy that the hairstyle that I thought was tough and cool had won.

The more I read from you, though, the more I think that your real problem was the ugly comments that ignorant people were making about blonde shep, and feeling like those ****s won. Well, just try to keep in mind that many of us preferred a red-head shep before there was ever a vote to begin with and we had nothing to do with those bigoted ****s.

Here is the problem.

During the first poll, everyone voted for the one they wanted most. #5 was winning obviously and it didn't take long until the name calling started. "Barbie", "Pornstar", "Sexsymbol", "Blondes are stupid", even "The hairstyle is impractical during the firefight." Nothing helped, #5 won. Of course everyone else was mad. And it's all Barbies fault. "If it weren't for that wet dream of a 15 year old, we would have won, right? Must have been the hairstyle."

BioWare has listened and voila, here your second poll. Every femshep gets a second chance, but with the same hairstyle. Everyone? Sadly not #1 and #2 are back, but #3, #4 and #6 weren't. Does that sound fair to you? #3 and #4 had more votes than #1 and #2, yet their supporters are not able to vote for them anymore. So what is the alternative? Make sure that the one who beat you in the first round won't survive the second round. It's not vote for the one you want anymore. It's vote against the one who is a thorn in your side. Some people even called it by the name in facebook. "Anything but blonde." they said.

The poll is not neutral anymore. They've got a second chance and they won't let one who beat them walk away, especially not as a winner.

I don't follow. The second poll is just Femshep 5 with different color hair. None of the others from the first poll are back but her.

I have to admit all 4 new versions look almost identical. Just like the old versions #1, #2 and #5. Anyway, compare the redhead and the blonde of the the new versions. The skin is different and the redhead has no birthmark below the eye.

Thats exactly what i was thinking, the one thats winning is basically default Shepard from the previous games with the ME3 spice added to her.

But you forget that it was the majority of people that voted for blonde Shep that said it was because of the hairstyle only. So they kept the hairstyle and offered natural hair colours - black, brownish, blonde, and red.

How can you be so sure? You can vote but not make a comment on facebook or make a comment and no vote. This is not the first poll in the internet I have seen and people always played dirty. Claiming one thing and doing something else, using every trick they could think of.

Also, yes they offered different hair colours but that's it. The asian version (#3) or the black version (#4) for example never got a second chance. #1 and #2 got it. I voted for number 3. She didn't win and yes I dealt with it. Now there is a second poll and where is asian Shepard or the one that looked like Abby from NCIS?

If BioWare would have said, that the first poll would only be for the hairstyle, and second for the haircolor, #5 supporters wouldn't have been so . But BioWare left that little fact out. #5 supporters were sure of their victory and rubbed it in our faces. Now they feel betrayed because they have won, but BioWare decided to turn the tables. Now everyone else wants their head. They are litteraly out for blood. The first poll was unbiased but this is a witchhunt and I cannot in good conscience approve of it.

They didn't leave it out.  They decided after the first poll had been going to do a second one based on all the requests for that hairstyle but another color.  They couldn't have told people when they announced the first vote about something they didn't even know they were going to do yet.

This new vote seems to be Bioware's idea of card crushing, or blonde-crushing in this case. :/

I agree with both statements
This polls brought so many sexist, racist, prejudiced and degrading posts and articles, that made me more shock about peoples nature in general

I wish they wouldn't have made polls in the first place, sadly they did, for the sake of free merchandising.

If they would have just shown a high res Jane (#2, the one now winning), EVERYBODY would had been "holy crap what a great improvement, good job Bioware!". But because they didnt, it will stay the feeling in the most of the fanbase, that there were other options so much better for them and their personal tastes, but never will have the chance to play with the HQ version of them.

As they say "ignorance is bliss", wish they would had keep it with us
