I don't see why the pro-blonde people have a problem with this. They're the ones that kept saying its about what the majority thinks. I think they just assumed the majority agree with them at the time. This is how Democracy works, everyone keeps voting until we have a winning solution that no one is happy with.
Well, I think the reason have issues with it(besides the defense of blondes now being worth nothing) is this-
30,000 votes for Blondie.
3,000 comments for Blondie.
(estimate) 1,000 comments hoping for new hair color.
So you've got a fraction of the people actually wanting something OTHER than blonde hair.
Now then-
What if all 30,000 commented?
Lets use the previous ratio. That means 1/3rd of the Blonde voters wanted a new hair color.
Is that enough for a new poll? You decide.
Bioware decided. They deem it enough to have a second vote.

On behalf of blondes out there, I want to apologize on behalf of any past, current, and future stereotypers who rant on your hair color making you weak or whatever else the stereotypes enforce.
I tried to get it through people's skulls that their ideas were unfounded and nonsensical, and I hoped a Blonde FemShep would help drive my point home.
It seems now that may not happen.
So I'm sorry if you take anymore vitriol from people like that PCGamer article writer.
We can hope Blondie wins, but at this point, I doubt it. I think its between Black and Red.
Hope for the best, I guess.
I kind of get where you're coming from, but surely the ideal outcome would be to be left with a FemShep that the majority is happy with, rather than making some kind of moral stand just because of forum drama?
If they complained after blonde Shep won the second poll as well, they would be being entirely unreasonable.Dark_Caduceus wrote...
Black hair and blonde look the best, it's a tough one, people will complain if the blonde hair colour ends up being picked though, because feminism or something.

Well, fine. Though, as I said above, blonde Shepard is available in the new poll as well, so those 20,000-29,000 voters who wanted #5 exactly as she is can always vote for her again.

I think he's completely correct too... as the voting so far shows.
Oh yeah it was totally correct to ignore 30,000 people that voted for femshep 5 and didn't make a comment. Yep it was totally correct to do a second round of voting based on a SMALL minority of comments.
I voted for FemShep 5 because she was blonde, I see no reason to vote again. In fact why should I even waste my time voting ? They will just totally ignore the result and do a "do over" till the minority get what they want.

Honestly, Bioware could have stuck with original default Femshep and we would have gotten basically the same result. Which is probably the take-home point here.
I'm okay with this outcome, but I found it eye-opening how much people hated on blonde femshep just because she was blonde. We've developed a pretty nasty set of stereotypes against blondes it would seem. I liked model #5 as much for her expression as the hair. For all that people thought 1-3 and 5 looked the same, there were subtle differences in eyes and jawset. The truth is I thought 5 looked the fiercest, like just the cast of her jaw and the glint in her eye said she was ready to beat someone down.
Bottom line though is that we only have a week to go to the trailer, and I'm excited for that at least.

I get what you're saying, but it's already been mentioned in this thread how there are stereotypes against "gingers" too. I didn't vote for the blonde Shepard the first time either, but it had nothing to do with the color of her hair, I'm in the minority that just didn't care for the hairstyle (personally, I liked the short hair look) and, as I said, to me FemShep will always be a redhead.LPPrince wrote...

Its not just forum drama. Its out here in reality as well.
I just...feel like everything I said before is meaningless. Like no one heard it. Or even if they did, they won't listen.
I wish we knew how many wanted a new hair color due to stereotyping and how many wanted a new hair color because of actual taste/preference that isn't based on some ludicrous image that society passes around.
Tell ya what **** and moan enough in the redhead femshep and Bioware will be quite happy to ignore everyone that voted for that redshep and give us yet another round of voting with femshep 6 as the base model.Xeranx wrote...
Does that mean number 6 gets another shot? No? Why not? By the way, all of that is rhetorical.
We hear comments like on every single thing here on BSN so why are you surprised? ;Pscyphozoa wrote...
HAHAHA, I think people are taking things a little too seriously, here is a quote from the facebook comments,If the blonde doesn't win, you can kiss my money goodbye

The femshep trailer? I don't think there's gonna be a FemShep one in a week (i wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised...for a change)
