As a collective most people have no idea what they want in form of specifics,we are idiots who can only generalize, when it comes to major things we can come to a general concensus, but specifics evade us.1136342t54 wrote...

Depending on the neighboorhood, that can happen quite often, tbh. When was the last time you heard a redheard being called a prostitue just because of her haircolour? It happens reguarly towards blonde girls in some parts of my country -.-
Your link is what I'd call stupid childcrap, though. It's not what I would call 'proof of redheads being bullied in general', but more of the same variety that makes random idiots post hatepages for whatever random topic they can think of. If you can think of a topic or subject, chances are that there is a hatepage for it somewhere made by some idiot. Doesn't mean that the topic/subject is subjected to hate in general, though.
The problem with your comment, from my point of view, is that I just don't see, nor ever have seen, any real vitriol or degatory comments being made towards redheads in real life. I've seen plenty towards blondes, though, or various pigmentations or systems of beliefs, but never towards redheads, ravenhaired or brunettes.
You’ve seen blondes being beat up simply because they are blond? Where do you live? Honestly, I have heard my share of blond jokes and such, but never seen anyone get beat up because of it. I have seen redheads get bullied because of it. The term “ginger” in itself is often used as a derogatory word. Not that it bothers me, but I don’t get offended easily. If you look back throughout history, redheads have always been persecuted. There is bases for people to assume people with red hair have an unfavorable stigma attached to them. Blondes though? I mean, throughout history they were coveted. People who were described as angelic were often depicted as having blond hair, and more often than not--blue eyes.
Blond bombshells, blondes have more fun...I could go on and on. There are stigmas surrounding every culture, race and yes...even hair color. It’s absurd to think because someone says blondes are dumb or bimbos makes them the “underdog”. Stop being offended by what others say. Everyone just sits around waiting to be offended anymore. I don’t care that the word ginger is being slung around every other post. I don’t care about other people’s opinions enough to be offended by them and neither should anyone being offended because someone made a bad remark about pigmentation. (and the italics are not intended for you, but a general statement).
And furthermore, being labeled a bimbo on the bsn isn’t exclusive to blondes. Ashley was called a bimbo because she showed some chest skin (not even cleavage) and had wedges. Miranda was called a bimbo because she wore a “catsuit”. Bimbo has no meaning here. It is a term coined and thrown about to dismiss someone who isn’t dressed like a Quaker.

Select the picture you want and 'like' it. You can 'like' all four pictures if you want.
Before you can 'like' any picture on that page, you must first 'like' the Mass Effect facebook page:

I'm not just talking about the collective. Bioware sometimes actually have some successes in listening to the actually intelligent fans who sometimes get drown out by the yelling.

I'm from the England and there is lot of hate directed at "gingers" growing up I have seen kids bullied and ridiculed only because they had red hair. And it's not because these people were just looking for any attribute to pick on, red or ginger hair is targeted because it’s viewed as something to be made fun of (at least for nasty , intolerant people). And it's not just a school thing even as adults red heads continue to get crap here. If you have ginger hair rather than red hair you will get worse treatment , my friend growing up had ginger hair and so did most of her family and I was appalled at what others said to her, sometimes strangers. It is a cultural thing which explains the disbelief that a group could get so much hate (if it doesn’t happen where they live) but unfortunately there are places where red heads to get vitriol thrown at them.

The examples we got were just rough sketches, nothing more. They don't represent what her finished design would be, especially if they put her in a trailer. Whoever wins will likely look awesome as a finished design, but I wanted blonde because there hare hardly any blondes in ME to begin with. So I voted blonde, blonde won....and we get a red head.
Everyone saying that 'we all wanted a red head to begin with,' that is pure speculation.

Ouch lol. I never got teased about it, maybe because I had a lighter shade of red and didn’t have any freckles except on my nose. My cousin however, has freckles all over her and her hair is a deep, bright red. She was constantly being called “carrot top” among other assorted names and there was always a comment or two thrown in about her crotch area. She even tried dying it once, but it only turned a bright orange. Horrid.
Even to this day my friends constantly make remarks about “gingers”. I don’t know if they do it in front of me because they know I don’t care, or because I dye my hair often and they don’t think about it. So, yeah. It’s refreshing to see so many people voting for the redhead. I guess that is why I like it.

A majority decided the preset. A new majority will decide the haircolor of that same preset, a consideration that seemed relevant to Bioware but also to the community. That's the democracy.

The speculation is being borne out in the current vote for gingershep. Just saying.
Edit: Jinxed. Fata beat me to it.

No preset 5 won. Now we'll see if this preset will be blonde. I know you voted blonde, but not everybody voted for her because she was blonde. Many comments among those who voted for preset 5 on Facebook ( not the " haters " )about the love of her hairstyle, but better with another color. So a new round.
A majority decided the preset. A new majority will decide the haircolor of that same preset, a consideration that seemed relevant to Bioware but also to the community. That's the democracy.
Ok then if the preset femshep 5 won why is it the red haired femshep in this poll isn't the preset femshep 5 then ? If this poll is just about hair colour then all four of them should have blue eyes and a mole. Yet that isn't the case, the red femshep in this vote has been altered which has introduced a bias into the poll.
What ever way you cut it with this second poll it was specifically designed to put emphasis on the red head. The other three sheps are just a copy and paste of femshep 5 with no alterations but the redhead was specfically altered to give her a unique look.

Hmm. Don't remember anything about 'vote for a preset, and we'll have another vote after this' was that what they said? If so, I missed it.
How is this relevant to anything?
