Hmm. Don't remember anything about 'vote for a preset, and we'll have another vote after this' was that what they said? If so, I missed it.

And Bioware promised nothing. Never. It's you pro-blonde, when you saw the results, who said it was over, another vote wasn't expected, nor allowed, that democracy was finished speaking. That's it, deal with it.

Faced with strong demand during the first vote about the hairstyle, you would not  for even one second considered the possibility of another vote. I knew before all the comments, there was a small chance that Bioware can be receptive. As bioware was receptive to the request to change Jane who was redhead.

It was strictly legitimate to ask the question facing major change and especially, because it was suspected that those who wanted platinium hair was a minority. 43% ( among those many who prefer another color ) faced to 67 % ( many want another color )

So, Where is the minority ? We didn't know. New poll about the haircolor, but we keep the preset 5. Now we know and Bioware and many people were right.

Now, you're not alone nor the center of the world. Everyone participates and the majority decides. Everybody must learn to deal with it.

How is this relevant to anything?

It's relavent to the current thread, and how many are justifying a second vote. Read the posts and you will understand.

BUT they didn't DO THAT did they, nope they started a second poll, altered red haired femshep and gave her a unique look that NO ONE VOTED FOR and did a copy and paste of the others and gave them different coloured hair.

I just hope they don't do any votes with gameplay elements. That would be a mess, and well, go on forever with their tendency to cater.

Depending on the neighboorhood, that can happen quite often, tbh.

You’ve seen blondes being beat up simply because they are blond? Where do you live?

I have to say, I"m really curious about this myself. I have never in my entire life heard of someone being beaten up because they are blonde. To be fair, I've never heard of someone being beaten up because they are brunette, either. I have however frequently heard of people being beaten up or bullied because they are redheads.

Uh, I've read all the posts and still don't understand, sorry.  "They didn't inform me about a second poll" is a completely meaningless statment. So what?  They didn't inform you about the first vote, either, until it happened.  I fail to see the relevance.

But the blond still looks the same. Even if Bioware set up some subliminal voting conspiracy using freckles and green eyes, people.can.still vote for the blond Shepard. And wasn’t the blond shep the only one with a beauty mark? Well, I’d say they made her different to get the vote! She had long hair too, it’s almost as if they wanted people to vote for the long haired one. I'd say the others were gimped in the first poll since the faces were very similair, yet they had no beauty mark!

I guess what I'm supposed to understand is that Bioware needs to inform you of all their business decisions?

Select the picture you want and 'like' it. You can 'like' all four pictures if you want.

Before you can 'like' any picture on that page, you must first 'like' the Mass Effect facebook page:

Redhead has just freckles, like all the ginger,

It's not a problem and what constitues her advantage. people like simply redhead or also because Jane was already redhead.

You’re right. They shouldn’t cater to anyone. I say we scrap this whole female Shepard getting her own deal and go back to the way it was. No pandering to anyone! amirite?

It's called racism, basicly. It's just an unfortunate thing that what happens when people move from their country to another country, has issues integrating and carries those issues to their kids because they cant give them a proper raising due to poverty and lack of status while settling in ghettos where the majority of residents has the same issues.

The unfortunate reality of it is that it goes both ways. The attitude and behaviour of young people in these areas fuel resentment other places in society towards them, which in itself fuels the resentment the people have themselves.

So yes, we do have places where people get beat up just because of how they look. Some places it's if they look like they are from the middle-east, some places it's if they got blonde hair and white skin. And calling the blonde females  for '****s' seems commonplace in some ghettos too, alhtough I have yet to hear that phrase be credited to other haircolours as such.

Edit: And I guess it goes to show that a commonly used word is blocked by the profanity filter. Says something about the word usage that is accepted among some people about others solely because of haircolour.

It doesn't matter what the blonde looks like.  The whole argument some are using here is that in the first vote we voted for the look of Shepard and this poll is for us to decide the hair colour.  Well that is a load of bull then because red haired Shepard is NOT the femshep 5 is she.

Bioware intentionally altered red femshep to give her a UNIQUE look and did nothing to improve any of the others.  Now that doesn't sound like a "fair" poll to me.  That sounds like a hell of a biased poll.  Yes if all four femsheps looked exactly the same except for hair colour then there is an argument that this vote was just for the hair colour.  That isn't the case though is it ?

Uh.  You realize that racism isn't based on hair color. Because anyone can dye their hair to any color they want?  You can't say blondes get beat up for being blondes based on racism; they get beat up for being white, not necessarily their hair color - they'd get beat up if they were brunette, redhead, or hair dyed purple. the blondness is irrelevant to that kind of violence.

It is when people attribute the hair colour to it, which have been done in the past and as such fuels the excuse to resent it.

When it's the blonde that get picked out between a blonde and a brunette, both whites, and racial slurs are hurled in between, then it seems like a pretty clear cut case, I'd say.

Fine with me. The whole thing became a farce as soon as they started to second guess themselves. CDPR held a competition a while back involving cosplay. They said the best costume wins. Period. They didn't say after the fact...oh, well, now that we have some winners, these other folks are pissed. Let's hold stage two - cosplay, second round.

So yeah. They shouldn't have even held a vote if they weren't going to stick with it in the first place.

No it  isn't. The Red head is simply givin features that are akin to Red Heads. You are putting too much thought into this. The artist for the Fem sheps likely decided to throw those features in there for the red head because thats how some picture them.

Fail. Bioware simply said they read many posts about how people liked the hair style but didn't really like the color. Those are the same people who voted for #5.

Uuuuuh.  Bimbo isn't a racial term? And, and.. if you like brunette over blonde, there's no race involved??

You know what, I'm just going to back away slowly.

No I am not putting too much thought into this.  The argument here is that the first poll decided the look for femshep and femshep 5 WON.  Now this poll is for hair colour only yet red haired femshep has received extra details and changes that the others did not.  That is a bias right there and it skews the result.  It is wrong to say this is "just about hair colour" it isn't, this is about there being an inherent and intentional bias in the poll in red haired femsheps favour.

Red haired femshep has been given a UNIQUE look in this poll that the others have not, that is just one of the reasons why this second poll is inherently unfair.

Not to be a douche but even the term racism isn't even a correct term for discrimination against a specific group of people since race implies a inherent difference. ;)

Sorry I had to be douche lol.

They LOOK the same even with one or two small different details. The same preset. When you compare them, do you see it's different people, different femshep ? Not at all. The freckles, before people told me, I didn"t even see them.

Now, the success of redhead doesn't justify why platinum hair is behind Black femshep and Brunette femshep too. So I don't see why you scream against ginger shepard.
