Yeah, seriously. People are so hung up on how blondes were called bimbos in the previous poll - and I'm not saying that's right, because it isn't - but gingers get way more hate than blondes ever do. People hate gingers enough that Kick a Ginger day became a reality.

Really? Now it’s become about which form of hatred or prejudice is more acceptable than the other, who gets beaten or not so they shouldn’t complain? Am I really reading those things? FAIL.

No more, I’m out. Have a nice life.

PS: Fata Morgana? You are really something. Be proud of yourself (not). Shame on ME for even trying to reason before.

If they did this re-vote purely based off comments like "I like X but with Y hair color" are they going to do another vote for the people who made comments like "They all look too young"?

It's Bioware, which sets rules and limits. If they feel that it deserves consideration, they will, otherwise deal with it.
But, well, If you show me 1500 comments about Femshep too young on facebook, I promise you to tweet Casey. Good luck. :innocent:

Stop taking you seriously at "deal with it", but yes, there were alot of comments about her looking too young. Were there 1500? Don't know, didn't count, don't care enough to count.

I personally don't care which one wins anymore. I'm just glad I'll have a decent-looking FemShep to use now. (I use Sheploo simply because of the level of detail he has compared to custom Sheps.)

lol, I'm all but serious when I say deal with it bro', dont' worry . But whatever.

And me too, I don't care, since I lost in a first round. I voted brunette in the second, she won't win... I'm an eternal looser. So now, CC shepard.

I'm glad too for the advertising of femshep despite all the mess on the bsn.

People are hypocrites. They complain about whining about blondes but whine in the same time about redheads . No wonder nobody takes you seriously.

You do know that people can be "unintentionally" biased towards a thing right ?  The bias is right there in your face.   They did extra work on red haired femshep, they gave her a unique look that they did not give the others.  Now from where I come from I would say that constitutes a "bias" towards a certain option wouldn't you ?

I seriously cannot think how much simpler I can explain this.  There are 4 femsheps, 3 look EXACTLY the same but for the hair colour and 1 got a make over with different coloured eyes and facial details.  Now seriously are you telling me you cannot see how that is a "bias" in favour of one option over another ?

You know I mentioned unintentional bias before you even tried right? The only time you mentioned that was when I was trying to give some credence to your argument. Hell like I said I would be more inclined to agree with you if you didn't just attack bioware by saying bias and not being at all specific so I assumed you actually believed they wanted that option to win when that is certainly not true.

Don't put words in someone elses mouth that is not good debate practice at all. The poster specifically said no form of hatred is right nor acceptable at all. The poster simply said the amount of hate one group receives is more common than the other group that was it.

Really? I never experienced or heard any resent towards redheads in my life. I have heard people call them "fiery" or "sexy hot", though, which can't exactly be called negative comments.

I've heard alot of degatory comments towards blondes through my life, though, and it's almost a part of common language now without it even being thought off as being degatory (which it actually is) to call someone "being blonde" when they do something stupid or silly.

I have. And I'm a redhead so I know what I'm talking about. I've been on the receiving end of "kick a ginger day". Also making fun of redheads seems to be acceptable bullying. Hell even my teachers would talk about how they'd never want a redheaded child.  Not that blonds deserve the hate they get but they have it mucho easy in comparison.

@charmingcharlie I voted for the redhead because green eyes, freckles and all she looks like how default FemShep should look to me. It's like DefaultJane 2.0.

But fundamentally I agree with you. For whatever reason Bioware has given us 4 options of #5. 3 of which are identical in all but hair colour while the fourth has a different eye colour, facial feature in addition to hair colour. That makes the choices unequal. Whether it was Bioware's intention or not the one which is not like the others is the one that's winning.

I do not know what Bioware's intentions were, I am merely pointing out that this bull that "we chose the preset femshep now it is about the hair colour" is complete and utter bull.  If that was the case we would have 4 femsheps all with pale faces, beauty mark and blue eyes but with different coloured hair.

That isn't what this poll is about though is it, they changed the look of red haired femshep to give her a unique look which may or may not help her.  Now for all we know there could be people that would go "hm red hair nice but blue eyes don't go with red so I will vote blonde/dirty blonde/black".  They have skewed the result by intentionally makeing red haired femshep look different and unique compared to the others.  So it is not unfair to say that is a bias in favour of the red haired shep.  The red haired femshep has a unique look the other 3 don't have.

No preset 5 won. Now we'll see if this preset will be blonde. I know you voted blonde, but not everybody voted for her because she was blonde. Many comments among those who voted for preset 5 on Facebook ( not the " haters " )about the love of her hairstyle, but better with another color. So a new round.

A majority decided the preset. A new majority will decide the haircolor of that same preset, a consideration that seemed relevant to Bioware but also to the community. That's the democracy.

Ok then if the preset femshep 5 won why is it the red haired femshep in this poll isn't the preset femshep 5 then ?  If this poll is just about hair colour then all four of them should have blue eyes and a mole.  Yet that isn't the case, the red femshep in this vote has been altered which has introduced a bias into the poll.

What ever way you cut it with this second poll it was specifically designed to put emphasis on the red head.  The other three sheps are just a copy and paste of femshep 5 with no alterations but the redhead was specfically altered to give her a unique look.

BS. She would still be winning even without it. Try another excuse if you please.Image IPB

I do not think to bring politics on the BSN is the smart thing to do. I do not know why people insist to dramatize about these things, on a platform that is certainly not suited for that. Your attempt is doomed to failure and bored people.

Well perhaps we should have a third poll then with them all having green eyes and freckles.  Hey it worked with the last poll didn't it  .  I merely posted to point out that it is wrong to say "the first poll we voted for the preset and now we are voting for the hair colour" that is not what happened at all.

Exactly, all are things of which the real winner had none of.  This second round of voting was a stupid idea.

The only way to make things right now is to let people customize the defaut femShep to be able to choose hair/eye color and freckles or beauty mark.

They should have just left it at the first vote and been done with it instead of caving in to a bunch of whiners on the BSN and ignoring the votes of 30K+ people.

Wait, so people who say or whine they didn't want a blonde Shepard are whiners but people whining how unfair it is there's a second round of voting aren't?

Dude, you're whining about whining

The difference between 1-3 and 4 are so minor as to be insignificant. While I can't prove it statistically, I seriously doubt that the minor addition of green eyes and a few pixelated freckles would sway the majority to vote for redshep if they truly wanted blondeshep. If it was bias, why wouldn't Bioware just implement redshep with no vote?

I miss the part where the first poll said "Vote for the one you want in game and that's it and there's no more"

And all of those whiners were annoying but the ones who wanted Shep to have a different hair color? Yep they turned out to be the majority. And those 30K+ people can vote for blonde again if they truly wanted to, it's not anyone's problem but their's if they don't. Apparently a lot of them actually didn't want her to be blonde. They didn't ignore votes they just listened to the comments of others, which turned out to be a smart move based on the voting now.  They didn't cut blonde out of the poll and she can be voted for again, it's not unfair. If she was wanted by the majority she'd be winning. The end.

I hate to pull out this card but seriously. Deal with it.

Well they proved that whining on the BSN is the way to get major changes made.  Just trying to fall in line.  At least my whining has 30K+ votes behind it instead of just a ridiculous prejudice against blonde people.

That is just you speculating, I would say eye colour is a pretty big deal for some.  I have already stated I much prefer green over blue any day of the week if I had the option of voting for a green eyed femshep and the rest were all blue then green eyed shep would win.  The eye colour is NOT a minor addition it is a major change as is the extra facial detail.

But you are all missing the point, the WINNER of the first round was a long haired blue eyed, pale faced femshep with a mole.  So if this vote is just to determine hair colour why the hell did Bioware give red hair femshep significant changes to what WE VOTED FOR ?

I've literally said multiple times that I would be more inclined to listen to you if actually didn't keep accusing Bioware is intentionally making a optional shepard that would win. Hell at one point you said you it could be unintentional bias but now it seems you are ignoring that possibility and even ignoring me when I said I would be more inclined to listen to you if you said it was unintentional bias because that isn't impossible. Instead you keep attacking bioware by saying they are simply bias which would make many people assume you believe that bioware wanted red shep to win. That is statistical bias.
