Haha yup it really is kind of silly. But what's even more silly is how people are complaining now after making the vote fair. Some fans are just never happy. Kind of would like to see them do anything half as good as BW does it whether it be games or even stupid polls that effect a minor part of gameplay if you even choose to use default in the first place. Pretty callous of some of the people on here if you ask me. People always find something to complain about. Even when the intention of the thing they were complaining about was generous in itself.Fata Morgana wrote...

No it is not inaccurate, I voted for a pale faced, blue eyed, long haired mole ridden femshep did I not ? Then why the hell does the second poll feature a green eyed, freckled faced femshep ? I don't recall seeing her winning in the first poll do you ? So by introducing this new femshep that I did not voted for is invalidating the 1st poll in my books.

Interesting observation. I'll try that later.
Had to rephrase my post: of course people are seeing green eyes on Red 5, because she actually has them. What I was trying to get at was that people aren't picking up on the green eyes of the others because they don't expect them there. Funnily enough, at least one person caught on and complained that Raven 5 would look better if she just had blue eyes. But a bunch of other commenters think she does have them. With Blondie, you see a lot more comments about her "blue" eyes, likely because the expectation of them with a blonde is higher. Again, though, a couple people caught on and complained that the blue eyes should be brought back.

Yeah, the thing that continues to be lost in all the bickering is: Wow, it is pretty amazing for Bioware to spend time and resources on a character that less than 20% of their audience ever see. If they had just picked a femshep that they liked and gone with it, no voting, that alone would have made me really happy. The fact that they allowed us in to the process at all is incredibly bold and generous of them. Bioware is an amazing, incredible company and I think I'll be fans of them forever.

Considering now that even that the eyes being different are still up for debate the only true difference is the freckles which I haven't even discovered until someone had made high res pics of them. The differences may be there but the only time anyone even noticed is when people were looking for them.charmingcharlie wrote...

What was widely known and even stated by bioware was that the people who voted for blonde shep wanted a different hair color. Some said red, others said black etc. It still means that everyone who didn't vote for blonde shep didn't get what they wanted. If that was true then everyone would be voting for red head shep. I certainly didn't get what wanted.I didn't realise this was up for dispute, it is widely stated that the majority making comments in the femshep picture section were asking for red hair
Obviously from this second poll they seem to have actually payed attention to the votes since blonde shep didn't get any where near as many votes as she did in the first poll. You still haven't given a reason why you are ignoring Bioware.Hell Bioware ignored 32,000 votes for a blue eyed, long haired, pale faced femshep and introduced a green eyed freckled face femshep that no one voted for.
Stop being childish. I am seriously trying to debate with you and hell I even compromised earlier even though you were becoming annoying which I find peculiar for a supposed 40 yr old. Be honest you didn't even notice the differences until someone made a high res pic.The differences are there, they can be seen and they will influence the vote as I keep saying and you keep saying "blah blah they wont" well if that is the case why did Bioware bother ? The differences exist and they will affect the vote the question is how much they will affect the vote and no one can answer that.
So because you supposedly haven't attacked anyone in the last five pages that supposed to make me ignore what you have posted throughout this thread?I have not attacked or insulted anyone in the past five pages. I have merely sought to explain that saying "this is just a vote on hair colour" is wrong and the vote is flawed. But for some reason you don't like that.

Yep I and 32,000 others voted for long haired, pale faced, mole ridden, blue eyed femshep. She won the contest and the only question left was hair colour so the second poll should have featured 4 femsheps with a pale face, mole, long hair and blue eyes because that is what WON the first poll.

You are just speculating that, you can't say what makes everyone vote whatever way. My argument about this second vote is that it is just as unfair as the first. You just keep saying "oh the differences don't really matter" well you don't know that unless you ask every single person that voted. I would say eye colour is just as important as hair colour and the fact that red femshep is the only one in that poll that has green eyes gives her an unfair advantage just like in poll 1 when blonde femshep had an unfair advantage with the hairstyle.
WTF? How can I be speculating when it is obvious that the only time anyone actually saw any differences is when the high res pics came up on BSN. No one knew it and there was even an argument over if the eyes was different. You literally have to try very hard to find differences. I'd bet most people who are voting aren't from BSN and is just using the Facebook pictures.
I'm still waiting for you to respond to this.

To be fair the same question can be asked of you as to who you mean by "we". It's obvious charmingcharlie uses "we" indicating those who did as he did. To change that because you don't agree with it is low as far as I'm concerned. I view it on the same level as stating "that's you're opinion" when it's painfully clear said statement is their opinion.

Yes, they (myself included) did and obviously (by the second poll) they now prefer any other color over blonde. And, just as it's stated by many others on this forum, the freckles, mole, and eye color was (and still is) hard to make out on facebook. All four of the pictures -on facebook- had green eyes and there was no way to get a good enough close-up to tell otherwise. By the way, they all have the same "pale face".

Knowing now doesn't bloody change anything. If people really cared that much they'd go back and change their vote. And most people still probably don't know. The only ones you can be certain know now are the ones that are on BSN and looked at this topic. And the only difference is the freckles. The eye colour is exactly the same. Like I said before to have someone with hair that red and not have freckles on them would be horrible. Never seen someone with hair rose red and did not have freckles.
As far as I recall freckled faced green eyed shepard polled absolutely no votes whatsoever yet for some reason she is in the second poll which is apparently supposed to be just about the hair colouring.
Had you actually READ what other people said you would know that they all have the exact same eye colour. The only difference that exists is one that is expected and realistic.

It is still introducing changes to something we did NOT vote for. The winner was femshep 5 if this poll is to be legitimate then the only change to the femsheps should have been the hair colour. The changes they made to red haired femshep can be seen, they are known about and they are differences that can affect the result of the poll.

What people? Those who post in this thread? That is a small minority of people and they won't affect the vote so much that a specific Fem shep will win.
Right now I'm not even saying the differences won't matter as a fact. I have said multiple times (which you now are ignoring) that it is my opinion that the differences are small.
The problem is you seem to generalize many people into groups and sometimes you aren't even consistent about it. In some of your posts you said its the red head supporters who were whining were responsible for the second poll. Then you were saying its everyone who didn't vote for Fem shep 5 got what they want from the second poll.Yes the one you voted for lost, that is regretable there will always be losers in a poll. As far as I recall freckled faced green eyed shepard polled absolutely no votes whatsoever yet for some reason she is in the second poll which is apparently supposed to be just about the hair colouring.
So you ignore the other sheps that look basically the same because of the differences on a shepard that is difficult to see due to picture quality?
I'm saying that they are known about by a small minority (mostly those who post in this thread) so it wouldn't make much of a difference.I am not the one being childish here, you keep saying the differences are there but they don't matter. The differences exist, they are known about and they can be seen and it will have an affect on the poll.

But we're still stuck with the one that won that poll. Any victory we get from this is an extremely small victory. It's the same as losing a war despite winning a battle. The only joy that anyone gets from this is throwing the "deal with it" pics back in the faces of those who decided not to win gracefully because it angers them like their schtick angered some of us.
