It is still introducing changes to something I did NOT vote for.  The winner was femshep 5 if this poll is to be legitimate then the only change to the femsheps should have been the hair colour.  The changes they made to red haired femshep can be seen, they are known about and they are differences that can affect the result of the poll.

I agree that it was unfair that the red head was made a little bit differently than the others, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee an automatic win for red haired shepard. There are numerous of reasons why she's winning and not the blonde one, it could be because:

1. The voice actress really wanted the red-headed one from the first poll to win but she didn't. So,maybe, some that voted for #5 probably felt a little bit guilty and voted for the red-head in the second poll.

2. People who voted for #5 prefered her to have red hair, so they took this oppurtunity to vote for -who else- the red head.

3. The "original" female Shepard from the past two games had red hair.  

4. They just simply like shepard  with red hair more than shepard with blonde hair.

5. Some voters just don't give a d**n and voted for the first shepard they saw and continued the rest of their day. 

There could be many more reasons, it's not just black and white. And some voters (including the ones that voted for #5)  may not even know (and still not know nor even care) about those changes and most voters may not be members of BW forums. So how are they supposed to know? Honestly? Stare at the screen for hours checking each shepard out. Making sure their eye color is the right...no wait, perfect  shade of blue-green and not green-blue. Getting a ruler and printing out the picture to make sure the head is the right length, width and height as the others. 
The point is, by the time when the special edition comes out hardly anyone is going to remember about these two polls (unless a person is that stubborn).  They will be too busy just playing the game in the first place then find something else about the game to complain about.

it is so hard to "get" because they DON'T red haired femshep has green eyes and the other three have blue eyes.  There that is a a difference that apparently does not matter.

Here's the problem. You're under the impression that everybody can see the difference. The pictures on facebook have the exact same eye colour. And oh I'm sorry you must have forgotten that's where the voting actually takes place.

If you have to look this bloody close (and on the high res shot keep in mind) to even be able to tell the difference,



then clearly the difference isn't significant enough to actually change a person's mind unless they seriously have so little else to do that they will go looking just to be sure. Also notice that there is even variation amongst the blue eyes. But you must call the authorities, for these Sheps with a different blue are getting an unfair advantage compared to your beloved Barbie Shep! <_<

And they are exactly the same on Facebook which I'll repeat if you've forgotten was the site through which voting took place

That is interesting okay then.

I personally do not know how much of an affect it will have on the poll, will it have as much of an affect as the "hair issue" probably not but it could have some bearing on the poll and it makes the poll unfair especially when the winner of "round 1" never had green eyes or freckles.

Really? So now you are starting to actually see that it is likely to have minimal affects on the poll. This is interesting in deed.

Nope I never said that, I said it wouldn't have as MUCH as an impact as the hair issue.  I do not know how much of an impact the changes to red haired femshep will cause.  However it does not change the fact that there are clear differences there and there is a clear bias in red femsheps favour.  That was my damn point all along, I kept seeing people saying "oh this is only a vote for the hair so it is fair" no it isn't the red haired femshep received extra work over the other 3 femsheps that makes this poll inherently unfair and invalid.

I got them from this thread. But they were taken off the high res photos which are still easy to miss eye colour differences on if you don't zoom in that closely.

I would say for the majority it is a vote for the hair. I've seen some posts involving freckles but it is mostly freckle hate. People don't seem to like the freckles to much.

There's no bias whatsoever. There's 4 choices and that's that. They are all attractive models and each has an equal chance to win.

Only if you look at the hi-res images....which AREN'T on Facebook: those images distort the eye color, and they all ended up a sort of dull green. You can even find comments there from a couple observant people complaining that they took away Blondie's blue eyes.  Of course, you'll find more from people talking about how awesome the "blue" eyes look with black/blonde hair....because that's what they expect to see and don't bother looking closely.

Then there is something wrong with them, I quite like freckles myself  Well it has been a blast but I must get to bed. At the end of the day what will be will be, if red femshep wins then hey I get my freckles and green eyes just minus the hair colour I wanted.

I just wanted to post in here that I still believe the poll was handled incredibly badly by Bioware in the first place and then they did a bang up job of screwing up even further with the second poll.

Here are the high res ones. And even on these it is still difficult to distinguish eye colour let alone the freckles. You have to zoom in real damn close and place em side by side to even get a hint at the difference.

I voted for red and black but if I'd noticed the freckles I wouldn't have voted red. I don't really like them. Still, I doubt that we'd be able to see them on anything smaller than a wallpaper so it's all good.

Ya I just looked through the Mass Effect webpage and found zippo. Unless they got them from a dev or something on twitter or elsewhere, they're definitely fake.

FOUND THE SOURCE! BW PULSE! Which really shows how few people saw it. Not many people actually watched Pulse to find out about the voting. Most found out via facebook. Trust me, I watched it live and there were only 900 viewers.

Just because a person can doesn't mean that they will.  I voted for #3, #4, and #6 the first time around but chose the blonde one in the second most recent poll.  I thought she looked the most natural of the current four. 

But there were all types of prejudiced comments in the first round.  Some people said that #1 wasn't feminine enough and some outright didn't vote  for #4 because they felt that "Commander Shepard should never be black."(That's a direct quote, btw.) Some of those comments were pretty gross, and I'm not going to even touch the "Rihanna Shepard" comments. 

That being said, I am hoping that after this vote, this will all be over.  I just want a FemShep trailer at this point and I don't care who is being pictured.

I believe they probably tried to make a high rez version themselves and it is quite possible that they didn't do it the correct way.
