I voted #5 for every element of what she looked like. Which is why this bugs me.
I voted for one, the one I voted for won, and now I have to vote again and see the exact same image that I previously voted for lose.
Part of that is definitely my fault, as its opinion and natural emotion taking effect.
But that doesn't mean I have to like it or sit down and take it.
Imo that should illustrate how essentially useless the first round of voting was. There were only six choices, so people ended up voting for completely different things. Some people voted based on hair color, some for hair style, some for skin tone, some for facial structure, etc.
I didn't particularly love any of the 6, but had I voted I would ahve had to choose something around which to base said vote. This next round adds a little more refinement to the voting process and narrows down some of the options. It's still essentially useless, as those who voted for other things in round one are going to be screwed out of something, but then so too were people who wanted something in round 1 that wasn't present.
It's not perfect, and it couldn't have ever been perfect unless the voting process was absurdly intricate. And I doubt femShep being blonde would have changed anyone's mind about stereotype perceptions. Your defense of blonde Shepard was and still is perfectly valid; you just won't have the figurehead anymore.
