You're entitled to stop and I would have said the same (actually already did but, have to say my...farewells), since there's new news we're all interested in.

I read all your posts back to page 73ish and still don't know which posts you actually made your arguments sound and struck my arguments down cold.  Instead, they seemed to go over your head in some cases.

But that doesn't matter, we agree to disagree about the basic points which is what I thought would happen anyways.  I will count you as a lost cause in my book.

I had a feeling you would do that. There goes a perfectly good debate. Image IPB

My arguments weren't over my head, and I really hope they weren't over yours. They were really quite simple. I think pieces of your arguments were over everyone's heads though (and not in a good way I must say)

Buh bye now! Image IPB

Do what? Reply? Image IPB

Ooooh I LOVE last word fights!

No, reply in a douchey way just to clarify for ya. Now I don't really respect you as an opponent anymore sorry to say! Feel the same if you wish darling and feel free to have the actual last word now, it's all yours.

OK I'm actually going now. This ain't fun no mo! Yay Femshep etc! Image IPB

Actually it wasn't a reply to get the last word in.  This is.
Image IPB

In all seriousness aside, there was enough doucheyness from both of us.  I'm just having a bit of fun now.  In the end it was really just a debate about hair colour.

It doesn't matter why the voters voted for other haircolors than blonde, there doesn't need to be a reason. Majority wins in polls.

Agreed, majority (well to be acurate the one with the most votes) wins in polls.  No one has received more votes than #5 from the first poll.  And not by a small margin either, about 10K more votes than the next closest vote getter.  This whole thing is kinda silly, if the voting had even been somewhat close I could see how follow up polls or clarifications could have been argued in favor of.  Landslide victories don't leave much room for debate though, unless of course you're on the BSN where the winners are the losers......

"37,000 votes said Shepard is Blonde"

The 4.8 MILLION copies of ME and ME2 say she's a redhead.

Right, but the same "4.8 million copies" say that she has short hair, but who cares?

I'd kinda figure the answer was implied in the fact that blonde didn't get 31,000 votes this time. Unless you seriously think 26,000 blonde voting facebook users who were following the Mass Effect facebook page suddenly stopped reading their updates?

No one knows, how many unique voters where there in each vote.

No we don't, but lets apply Occam's razor.

Blonde Shep gets 31,000 votes in round 1. In round 2, she drops 26,000 votes. (Incedently, thats roughly the same amount of extra votes the Henna, Brunette and particularly the Red Head versions picked up in round 2.)

So which is more likely, 26,000 people suddenly stopped using Facebook or  26,000 people voted for a non-blonde version this time around.....?

Woe to anyone who gets hit in the face with a freckle cannon.

This thread just won't die.  It's great that people are so enthusiastically applying their energies into something meaningful.  In the grand scheme of things, the default FemShep is obviously of paramount importance.

For the record, I like blonde FemShep much better than the redhead one.  I mean, way better.  But as Christian Shephard said: Let it go.

Not to mention before starting up this whole argument again, people might want to wait until after the trailer is shown tomorrow.  We could all be surprised and either really impressed or somehwat disappointed by the result.  I'm guessing most reactions will be more in line with the former... hopefully.

:happy:That's because the Lazarus Project causes hair to grow faster and Femshep doesn't have time to get it cut with all the mining she has to do. It also causes her to become more youthful in appearance. ;)

So red haired, green eyed Shep with freckles still won after 37K people voted for blonde haired blue eyed Shep with a beauty mark?  What was the point of the votes if they weren't going to use the one most people voted for anyway?

First round of voting was for build not hair color.

Anyway if 37k people really wanted blonde shep then they would have voted for her in the second round of voting, simples.

This is the second redhead that Jennifer Hale has played recently

Actually first round of voting was to pick the femShep we wanted in game.  Second vote was to placate people on BSN who think blondes are bimbos.

Glad to see that bias and generalizations are encouraged here on BSN, just call something a bimbo and BW will change it for you.

I liked the blonde way better too, but you need to take off your bias-blinders.  It's not a complicated issue, it was a straight up vote, even though it was an uncalled for second round, and blonde lost.  We move on.

I think that may apply to story.... that's the face of merchandise, trailers, etc.
I mean... you get my point now or not?
That seems pretty canon, or prominent, to me...

Still, it may be a bad choice of words, my mistake.
I didn't think someone was going to nitpick my choice of words.
