I should have made my female shep a little darker. She looks like she's spanish, or light skin Brazilian. She's pretty, but I wanted her to look a little bit more like me, and slightly more rough. Oh well, diversity is always a good thing, but black/white don't matter when you stand next to a fish face like Thane. Love ya Thane!!!

Look, the POINT of our arguing against this thread isn't because we don't support an ethnic Shepard. The POINT of our arguing is because we already have a Commander Shepard thread where we can discuss, post, and examine Shepard's ethnicity.

We don't need a Commander Shepard thread AND a Black Commander Shepard thread. We just don't.

As for the OP coloring on a femShep --

I wasn't offended by it. I also didn't find it funny. BUT I DID find it ironic. The OP claimed that the media was "white washing" protagonists, right before coloring (in a non example way) on blonde femShep's face. Exactly the same way "blackface" worked. If that's not irony, then I don't know what is.

The point was that he was (unconsciously, perhaps) being racist to the ethnic group he was representing. Had be done something like you, MissMaster, it would've been better. But he didn't. He did a cheap rendition of skin with a photoshop pen.

But none of that matters. We already have a thread for ALL Shepards to be welcomed into. We don't need a race specific thread -- or even a minority specific thread. It DOESN'T SERVE ANY PURPOSE.

Indeed.

But I do feel that chickens are under-represented in games. This blatant discrimination has to end. The Fable franchise has done much to improve the situation but other developers are hesitant to follow suit. Maybe Shepard could have a pet chicken? And not for dietary purposes either, because this would send out the message that poultry are nothing more than common foodstuffs, which is the kind of discriminatory attitude that needs to be removed from our society.

I really can't say that I see a need for a thread like this. Should there be a:

- Support Asian Shepard's Only Thread?

- Support Latino Shepard's Only Thread?

- Support Gay and or Lesbian Shepard's Only Thread?

It just seems kind of divisive to me.Especially when everyone can talk about there Shepard and the character in general in the Commander Shepard fan thread - Show some love people *Spoiler Warning!*

Perhaps the OP should make this into a "Group" instead of a thread.But for the record:

- In Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic: My Male Revan, cosmetically speaking; was of Asian & Latino descent.

- And in Mass Effect 1 & 2 and going into 3.My Male Commander Shepard is of African and Indian descent.I'll upload some pictures of him eventually.He looks pretty BadAss...

There's already a thread for ALL Shepards.

Then the OP created a thread for black Shepards only (with a picture of a White Femshep in black face). Which is divisive.

Then when people saw how ridiculous that was, he created this thread titled "Black Shepard Support Thread 2.0". Which is divisive.

Then quickly changed it from "Black" to "Multiracial" with the point of it being minorities only - ie. no whites. - Which is divisive.

Everything about this damned thread is divisive so don't act all coy about it.
