Is it possible to wait until you have Loghain and take him to Return to Ostagar? I want to try it but i'm not sure at the end of the game whether or not I'll still be able eto do Return to Ostagar? I've looked in some of the forums not all and have not found an answer so I'd figured I'd ask.

You can do the DLC at any time after Lothering all the way until you're about to do The Final Battle-I hope that doesn't violate no spoilers.

The following characters have very unique dialog @ Return to Ostagar.
Alistair.
Wynne.
Loghain.
I suggest bringing whichever two you have availble.
Though Loghain has some personal insights into his character there. (Even better if you read Dragon Age: The Stolen throne)

You can have spoilers in this forum, just not in the topic titles.
I suggest bringing Loghain back to Ostagar at least once, but if you only do it once, you should bring Wynne. Loghain has a lot of dialogue there that's specifically exchanged with her, and the developers clearly expected her to be there; so if she's not, his comments and overall attitude can sound more than a little out of place.

Yes, he's pretty interesting there. Worth doing at least once (if only to avoid Wynne's c-eww-gar comment to Alistair).

Its definetly one of the many hidden things alot of players miss.
The Same can be said for Lohgain and Ohgren in many places.
Like Wardens Keep and Stone Prisoner as well.
Ohgren has hidden dialog if you take him to the circle tower and do the events there.

I'm planning to let Loghain live on my next playthrough but I wouldn't have known to save Return to Ostagar for him if I hadn't seen this. Thanks, everyone!

Go for Hardend Alistair married to Anora and spare Lohgain.
So bad things dont happen to them of course
Also another hidden Dialog try and have your Dog duel Lohgain at the landsmeet.

If you pick Dog though, only your Warden can duel Loghain.

Which is perfectly acceptable, more so if your sparing Lohgain.

Even when hardened how exactly is anyone getting the option to have Alistair and Anora marry... AND for Loghain to still live? If anything the suggestion of Riordin sparing Loghain sends Alistair into a panic "i refuse and bla bla bla" and from then on either you kill loghain, he kills loghain... or loghain is spared and alistair is executed or exiled. I must be missing an option here...

Riordan butts in with his suggestion that Loghain become a Warden. Argue with Alistair; he'll say that he will take matters into his own hands to see justice done, and that he'll be king. Anora pipes up to say it would be a disaster, Alistair is selfish blah blah blah. At that point you get the pertinent dialogue options: "I though the two of you were going to marry" (if you've already gotten them to agree to it) or "I thought maybe the two of you could marry" (if you haven't negotiated the match prior to the Landsmeet). From then on I believe success is dependent on a combination of Alistair's hardened/unhardened state and the Warden's Persuade score, though I may be wrong on that point.
