i dont get it
when i am running
windows 7 service pack 1 64 bit
have high resolution texture pack installed
my video card is nvidia gtx 550 ti which is a dx11 card plus has 1 gb vram
i have latest drivers for my video card which 280.26
i also have patch 1.03 installed

someone please help

edit: after talking to EA customer support through live chat which they didnt really help at all so i had to try find a solution myself
the whole time it was because of nvidia latest drivers after i downgraded to 270.61 it allowed me to pick dx 11 renderer option so now i can finally use high graphic setting

it wierd though i thought 280.26 fixed issues with dragon age 2

Where did you get 270.61 64 bit? I dl'd it but it says it can't be installed because I don't have the hardware (but I have nvidia gtx 560...)
BTW I can actually set dx11, but it causes freezes, which go away if I set dx9. 
One of the reasons I shelled out 1000+ $ was to use the advanced dx11 features of games like da2 and Shogun2. Gaaaah!!!
