Thanks for the info =D, if you dont do the other companions quests how does it effect them? do you know?
Isabela will disappear and not return if you don't do her act 2 quest after getting 50% approval and completing the "Questioning Beliefs" quest. You cannot get the Supplier achievement without doing her act 3 quest, as the Ambrosia is located in the warehouse of her Act 3 quest.
If you take Fenris outside of Kirkwall during act 2, you'll get jumped by some thugs. If you don't investigate before a certain amount of time, Fenris will permanently leave the party. I don't believe there is an effect in Act 3 if you do or don't do his quest.
Anders' act 2 and 3 quests have no lasting effect, except his act 3 quest changes his costume.
Merrill's quests have no effect, I believe, aside from proving you're some sort of heartless monster for ignoring her.
You need to do Sebastian's kill quest in act 1 to be able to recruit him in act 2. Once you've recruited him, you don't need to do his quests though you miss out on some of the better equipment in the game.
Varric's quests don't affect much, but his act 2 quest has some of the best sequences in the game. His act 3 quest is pretty fun, too.

Actually you can still do that quest in Act II to recruit him. And if you wait til Act III they'll just forget about the first 2 quests and they'll give you the Faith quest and he'll worm his way into the party then.

If you don't take him out Kirkwall in Act 2, however, his quest will not trigger, and you'll be locked out of all Act 3 Fenris related content.hoorayforicecream wrote...

Will Aveline still fail to maintain support and respect of the guards if you do raiders on the cliffs but not her personal quests?
I believe so esp if you are Diplomatic/Aggressive Hawke. In those cases, Hawke can inspire the guards to fight (either by Oratory-Diplomatic, or by Intimidation-Aggressive) and afterwards the guards will feel from the LT on down, that YOU should be Captain of the Guard....and IIRC will say so even to Aveline's face.

Either he btrays you, she does or none of them. I think the game automatically makes you keep one warrior, one rogue and one mage by the end game. So Aveline only betrays you if Fenris doesn't.
