 hey guys in abit of a pickle needed some help.

basically i brought a preowned copy of mass effect 2 and learnt i needed a code so i brought the code. I brought all the dlcs.

I have since then got a new xbox and now my cd has broken.

Question -
If i get a new disc will i have to buy all the dlcs again or will it reconize that i have brought the dlcs before with my gamertag and let me download them for free again. 

I think i've answered my own question with the gamertag thing but i would like to get this confirmed before i pay for a new disc.

Will this be effected if i buy another preowned or should i go straight for a brand new spanking copy?

Oh also forgot to mention that i don't have the dlcs on the new xbox

You can redownload any purchased or redeemed content following my guide.

Since you already own the dlcs just get another copy of ME2. To save yourself money get a pre-owned copy, it's not as if the system will check the disc anyway.

But since you have a new 360 I feel the need to point out that you should recover your Gamertag and perform the content license transfer to avoid the majority of problems associated with a new console.

yeah i know the basics i'm using the same gamertag and i have redownloaded most of the DLCS from different games. The thing i wanted to know is if my code will be affected for Mass effect 2 since it uses that cerbirus code or whatever it was. What i wanted to know was if the code sticks to your gamertag or the disc?

Technically your EA account.

Also, since all the code does is allow you access to a certain collection of dlc once used, then that is all that should concern you. Hence my previous advice. Besides, once the code is used you can never use it again anyway.

Your code, once applied to your EA account which is linked to your Gamertag, can not be re-applied or re-used. However, as long as you have already applied the code to your Gamertag/EA account, you should be all set.

First, sign into Xbox Live and launch the game. This will ensure you get the latest patch applied to it as some DLC for some games must have the latest patch to run successfully. Next, please follow the instructions mentioned to redownload the DLC from the Xbox Marketplace. Once downloaded, launch the game. You should see that you can connect to the EA Servers/Cerberus Network and you should be able to access your DLC with no issues.
