Insert the first disc and I get the install option. All good so far. It's when set-up wants the 2nd disc that I'm getting problems. Put it in but eventually get some kind of reduncy loop issue. Anyone heard of this one, have some advice?

It is nothing I have heard of. I have WinXP and Baldurs Gate 2 works just fine.
If it was administrative install permissions that would surely be a problem with the first disk.

Sorted it. I googled around and read somewhere that some old games won't install because of the speed of dvd/cd roms these days. So I hooked up an external drive I have, which is about half the speed of the one in my desktop, and voila, it installed. So it's all good. Thanks for your reply!
