What crew you have should be governed by how fast you rescued your Cerberus crew in ME2. If they all survived, the named crew should be on the Normandy (even the dialogue banter characters). If they die, the crew should obviously be 100% alliance.

I could see this being the way it is too. When the Reapers attack, Ash/Kaidan (with orders from Anderson maybe) break your old crew, Joker and Chakwas out of jail to get the Normandy fully staffed quickly. If you don't have your old crew, then it's mostly Alliance people who worked on the retrofit.

Yeah, and honestly I want my crew back. and I'd also like Adams in there..altho that my be too much to ask. No idea where he is.

Of course maybe Shepard dumps everyone off somewhere (which is what I would do). the squaddies all take off ..somehow.in the story. We find them later all doing the're on thing. They went in different directions while Shep was on trial. I would think the crew would, too. But you know, we just don't know wats gonna happen.

Well with EDI unshackled Shep could actually just drop everyone off and it would be just Shep and EDI,course the basic maintenance would be ignored...but he's going to trial.

@didymos, RAM is a state secret,the avionics suite is a state secret,what isn't a state secret is the thrust vectoring,stealth...angles,aerodynamics profile,and engines.

the only thing "state secrety" about the SR-2 is the stealth drive, and for all we know Cerberus made their own version and the SR-2 is only Normandy by name and aesthetics. But this is semantics, and I will leave you to believe what you will.

But yeah I think Ash/Kaidan were going to be using that ship once it was done. It's a great Spectre ship, but that had to be weird for them.

The VS would only know this when the Alliance actually gets the ship and someone has the bright idea. How long is the trial supposed to be anyway? I thought I heard 6 months? Maybe 4?

But they definitely groomed the VS to replace Shepard. The Alliance and the Council. First they thought Shep was dead, then it looked like Shep. had gone awol and became a terrorist.

How the VS feels abt. it, I can't fathom. But Spectres do on occasion ride along on ships they don't command, but advise according to the mission. I think that's how the VS will see their role

I don't think BW would put you in a position where you aren't "#1" I don't know where this whole "The VS is stealing Sheps crap" came from...

Yeah...no.

The VS would have to take the Normandy from Shep's cold dead hands.

If Shep doesn't drop the crew off and the Alliance busts on in....things could get rough. I don't see the crew taking kindly to a perceived aggression from the Alliance towards Shep. The one that yanked them out the devil's azz when they thought they were done for.

And they would be in trouble for being Cerberus...operatives. Maybe not as much as shepard, but they'd be locked up, too. And questioned. Alot. Primarily abt. what Shep has been doing. What Shep had planned to do next after the cornicupia of destruction that was Arrival.

Edit: Unless, of course, your crew is all dead:blush:

what's funny is I know in future ME games you'll probably get "the most....ship in the galaxy" like KOTOR and ME.

The VS can't take the ship because Ashley (who's the most likely to be VS according to Bioware gamedata) just got her comission. She's a Lt, a low ranking officer. Spectre or not, she's not qualified to command a Alliance ship yet.

Kaiden could, but I doubt they'll have a major major plot point like that in only some peoples games.

From what I can tell, many if not all of the Cerberus crew in ME2 were ex-Alliance. So after a bit of investigation, I wouldn't be surprised if the Alliance "rehabilitated" some of them.

If you and I made a car,and I left the design team afterward and made a bigger faster better version of the car, while incorporating only the basic concepts of said car,at best all you could do is sue me.

Other then that think what you will,I'm not zulu and I'm not gonna type a ~50 paragraph lecture to spell it out.

Even so, I don't think the Alliance wants to leave a stealth ship in the hands of paramilitary extremists.

How do they get the "stealth ship" from shep in the first place?

God, i do hope they don't mess w/ my captains cabin and my stuff...grrr. I wanna a bar/lounge that actually...has ppl in it sometimes. Not just a bunch of squaddies laid up here and there like a traveling band of gypsies.

They said that as Shepard escapes to the Normandy Anderson throws Shepard's dog tags back and says, "Consider yourself reinstated!"

It's interesting that the Alliance, even if it's Anderson, is now in possession of your very dog tags that Shepard got back from Liara. I had them sitting on my desk.....so they rifled all thru my stuff. Heck, i wonder if they saw my pic of Kaidan still up.....oy...facepalm..that's not good.

Same, worried about that prothean ball thing getting taken away to lab...

Based on everything we know, Shep goes back voluntarily for trial. At that point, they just have to walk onboard.

The fact that the Normandy is repainted indicates to me that the Alliance has no intention of turning the ship over to Shepard.  But then the Reapers show up and what?  "Oh uh, we need your help now so you can have it back."

yup. that's the way it seems to me.

Shep should bust some heads over this, depending on how the judge treated Shep in the trial before the Reapers show up i'd shoot him.

Isn't really much choice, outside Shep, crew,Cerberus and a couple admirals(or a councilor) no one beleives in the reaper threat.

That and he also doesn't want a human/batarian war

Because Shep gives a crap about avoiding a war with the batarians and sees submitting to trial as part of his/her duty, (regardless of how distasteful or unfair it is), no matter how much some people would prefer to have the ability to behave differently.  You played Arrival, right?  The conversation with Hackett at the end covers this.

This doesn't really warrant a response but I'll do it anyway.

You're playing Shepard,Shepard isn't playing you.

So I'll just say Shep doesn't want war with batarians until after the reapers are dealt with.

Haven't played Arrival but i've read what happens in it.... was the relay thing a retcon beacues one survived supernova or am i wrong?  how much can the Batarians mobilise and that might also be a good reason not to show up due to some "bigger" players entering the galaxy.

I don't self-insert, so your statement about Shepard playing me is irrelevant. But as a ruthless colonist who has dealt with aggressive batarians many times throughout the series, his attitude would very much be "so be it."

Galaxy is going to end and all evidence of advanced sentient life will be scrubed from every world.... Integrity wont matter if Shep dies on "Reapers main target" Earth during trial.
