Hmmm. Well, when the Reapers invade, all hell breaks loose. Nobody's gonna be thinking abt. Cerberus vs Alliance at that particular moment.

The squad according to BW goes in different directions after Shepard is....arrested? They're off doing their own thing. I've heard Shep is in this mess from 2-6 months. idk which is true. So, what abt the crew?

Did they stay? Did Shepard drop off the squad somewhere...but then why not the actual crew? Unless, the Normandy got apprehended b4 they got the chance.

If the crew, or even some of the sr2 crew got caught w/ Shepard and were arrested (speculating), there's a good chance that they're being held in an area and Shep in a separate area.

When the Reapers drop, Anderson goes to get Shep and the VS goes to get watever crew they can assemble in such a situation and beat a path to the unfinished Normandy.

Edit: oh, btw, if the Vs is a Spectre now, there's a good chance they could be sent to bring the rogue Spectre Shepard in...or if you didn't reinstate..they're just bringing down a huge perceived threat...Shepard. 

That would be awkward.

Normandy=EDI,EDI=Normandy,who does EDI see as her Commander?Her helmsman?Who will she take orders from?How much control does she have?All of my Sheps told EDI she was crew,how does she feel about strangers crawling through her?Could be one PO'ed warship.

I'm sure Kelly, Gardner, Ken and Gabby could at least be left on. None of the other Cerberus crew really matter.

But of course all of them could be dead thanks to the SM.

On the other hand seeing as they're minor NPCs anyway, switiching them with Alliance replacements if they're dead, but keeping them if they aren't ala Wrex/Wreav, probably won't be that big of a deal.

I see alot of posts regarding the VS possably being the CO of the Normandy in Mass Effect 3 and here is my opinion on that matter.

For all intents and purposes Shepards Court Marshalled and stripped of his Rank and right to command by the Alliance also we know that Anderson reinstates Shepard's Rank but he might not reninstate his right to command if that is the case then The Virmire Survivor could very well be the Normandy's CO it Could be intresting if done properly.

Then there is the whole Spectre Status situation to consider If Shepard's Spectre status was reinstated during Mass Effect 2 then the first place they would have to report to is to the Council maybe the Council could order the VS to follow and give assistance to Shepard in any way possable basically making The VS and the Normandy Shepards Transportation the VS would be in command of the Ship and her crew but Shepard would be in command of his squad.

^ if that happens, as I said, I'll have to either tell Ash to leave and drop her off somewhere or I'll have to put her in her place in a rather unquestionable way.....failing that she dies at the first opportunity.

I'm just practical. It's my ship, it's my crew, it's my mission and more importantly it's MY (shepard's) story. I, as well as others, will settle for nothing but complete control especially if Ash is what stands between me and that control.

Edit: oh and LGTX, you tried....it was a good try. Have fun being a doormat for the VS after all that is YOUR story, not mine

So after minning every world to depletion (thought it might be funny considering the reapers would be like "WTF")..... all upgrades are gone? one weapon that might hurt the Reapers "thanax cannon" is gone at the very start of the invasion? not to mention cyclone field generators and other gadgets...

prepare for rage in six months devs.

I'd LOVE to hear a good expalantion as per why the SR2 is stripped of all upgrades between ME2 and ME3....IF that is what happens

Unfortunately, there would be a good reason. The Alliance thinks it has all the time in the galaxy. They stripped the Normandy of it's upgrades with the intention of studying them in an effort to install similar on all their ships. The Reapers attacked before the SA could get them back on the Normandy.

Notice in the Invasion vid it says that thousands of Alliance ships are in Europe when Reapers invade.... good work America, must be hard to pull the old "pearl harbour" near the start of a war for galactic survival.

PS. yes America isn't in Europe.

LOL...the would be funny. The Reapers would like "These friggin' organics!"  But as far as upgrades...pfft. Who knows wats gonna be there and wats not. Casey did say something abt. the Normandy being unfinished when Reapers hit. To wat degree of unfinished..who can say. And really, how useful will those upgrades be against Reapers. They did okay against a Collector ship, but we may need a bigger boot.

Of course it may have nothing to do w/ upgrades. It may just be a chance for the player to customize their ship a bit more.
