I see the Biodrones are already defending this useless item pack.

Thanks for proving House's point? lol

I see the Biodrones are already defending this useless item pack.

Their defensiveness is unnecessary though. We are completely indifferent to this dlc useless and uninteresting.

I do not see many people complaining about this item pack. They say they will not buy it or remain silent, and they move on, because they don't care, that's all.

So be happy all, and let alone the " haters. "

You know what I don't get? Why is it with these packs that Bioware never seems to provide clear images of all the items you would get with the pack, so that you can judge whether or not you might want them. They didn't really do it with the last pack, either. Doesn't make much sense to me. Unless I'm missing something, the only place I've seen these is that one website with the off-screen pictures.

Heh. Just like buying a pig in a sack :) Would be nice to have some idea as to what are you about to purchase *shrug*

Item packs are nice little tidbits, but I´m afraid that´s one more step towards us never seeing a toolset. Not after some years until the game is old enough to not have any DLC anymore at any rate...=]

P.S. They did have pictures up for ME item packs though...

True. "We heard you like customizing your character, so how about you give us some money on faith and we give you some gears you've never seen before?".. C'maan!

Are there any pictures of all the items around?

Well I am pleasantly surprised! These new armors and weapons all look great - and they are actually usable! Well done on that BioWare!
Clipping is almost non-existent and flappy bits also appear better with less clipping.

However, (as usual) there are a few issues:

Firstly, wearing the warrior armor turns OFF gore for my character! Companions still have gore on them after battles, but not Hawke.
I really hope this gets fixed because it's a shame to look this badass and not have blood all over you after battles.
Really BioWare, do you guys not test your stuff before releasing it???

Secondly, what is the point in getting two sets of each class' armors if they both look identical? I mean, wow! Again, lazy work from the devs!
The least you could have done was to change the colour schemes to identify the different sets but even this seems like too much trouble?

If it wasn't for these senseless omissions in detail, this item pack would have been awesome, but now the best I can give it is a 7/10 (I'm feeling generous today).

It's a damn sight better than Horse Armor.

BWAH. Their testing involves drunken gibbon monkeys, if previous unpatched releases in the series are any indication.

Like the weapons and companion items, dislike the armor sets.

Instead of giving us two visually identical sets of armor (with good secondary stats, but unremarkable armor), how about one set for each class that levels up?

I wouldn't call Priestly a drunken gibbon monkey ... testing by the few people they have can only turn up so much errors, it is statistics. When hundreds and thousands of more people start playing the game/dlc/whatever, it is mathematically inevitably that more errors occur.

Should they not hire more people to fill this role specifically then? Just saying that's what I'd do if I was head of the company and we had the money to do it.

Well, ... on Gamescom I told Priestly I would participate in exchange of getting a free game early.

But then again, some of the tests they have to make are the epitome of BOOOOORRIIINNNGGG ...

I've got a number of concerns about the Loghain items. They seem to indicate Bioware if now going to consider the action at Ostagar a betrayal, and make Loghain a villain regardless of your choices in DAO. I was on the fence about getting this material before, but I'm now not going to buy this or any future item packs from BW because of this issue. I really hope this can be addressed.

I would never buy armor for myself, but I would buy some for Isabela and Varric. They're always wearing the same thing. seriously, I wish I could rip Isabela's shirt off and... and...

lost my train of thought

This. I'm really disappointed that the codex entry turns him into a one-note villian while much of the discussion that spurred Loghain defense threads came from the writers themselves. We had a superbly written grey character in Origins and the codex entry makes no effort to incorporate that. It makes no effort to justify the actions Mary Kirby and David Gaider told us he had reasons for. It makes no effort to recognize that most of the Ferelden citizens still think quite highly of him and the nobility were the only ones with problems. It doesn't even recognize that his status as a hero only grows if he kills the AD and even if he becoms a Warden.
