On topic reply: the only reason is fanservice. It has been reason enough to do some much more major stuff so far. They had that poll on Facebook, they had various other feedback, I say they've locked their approach at doing it.

Did anyone live through the late 70's-early 80's? Was there a massing fanbase that didn't want to see Darth Vader's face because it would "ruin the mystery" and make the mystery present in the past 2 installments irrelevant? Or is this just all thanks to the anonymity provided by the internets?

I feel like more than a few people want to see her not get unmasked if only to see Tali fans rage.

I don't really see myself on any side per say, I just want to see her unmasked because I like her character... Though I have a feeling that you'll only see her face if you romance her. Luckily I have a another save file with her.

I think you should be able to not see Tali's face if you don't want to,but just some random quarian,why not?

I think the point you brought up is a good one,a lot of people love Tali solely on her personality,the mystery behind the mask is alluring,it should be optional to see her face.

I would like to see her face, but make it as abstract and unattractive as possible. Talimancers have to learn that every being in mass effect does not have to equate to being "space elves". We have the asari for that already, don't need another beauty race.

But if they don't it doesn't matter much either, the game will still be fantastic.

BW recently said they know exactly what they're doing with Tali's face but I agree with OP shep already saw her. I actually didn't think they'd do the final mission love scene I thought 2 would only acknowledge any love between characters. I was very surprised when she was going to risk her life for shep and then they didn't show her face! That was evil of you BW work our hopes up and nope sorry no cake for you. THE CAKE'S A LIE!

Anyhow for story she now has to reveal her face in the next love scene bare minimum sense shep already saw her. I really don't want to see anyone else but her I mean if they show them great but I'm not going to say see Rann's face and go ok Tali must look like....and make something up sure skin, hair, bone structure maybe the same but I'm not that creative to just come up with something and as the player I'd rather not. I love Tali so seeing some random or known Quarians face doesn't hold the same value or emotion as seeing her's personally. The only thing I expect to see on Tali when she is unmasked is Riddick shinny eyes that's it. I would find it dumb if she removes the visor and her eyes are normal or cat like and no mirror iris. They're like stars in there so they should still be reflective when the mask is off.


I think a great reveal point would be on Rannoch itself. In my vision of it she would reveal her face again after all the chaos of finally landing on the homeworld has calmed down like late at night she'd find shep overlooking the scarcely lit newly refounded city and she'd tap him on the shoulder and gain his attention it's then after he turns around we can see Tali in her CG beauty we can see her face clearly and then the camera moves out and we can see she's also in traditional Quarian wear the fashion may be out of date by 300 years but we can see her shape. We'd then be able to speak with her sense in my little world here she's out of her suit she'd explain how she buckled down majorly on her meds and herbal remedies for this occasion and she was willing to take this risk she should also say sense she's taking far more meds then she did when she was with shep she anticipates only winding up like she did then a mild fever and a runny nose. Which in the morning when you speak to her all suited up she'll say she's alittle down but certainly not out.


With fshep it would be fairly similar but she would call shep's name and say she wanted to show her friend her face after all she's worked side by side with her yet has never seen the person behind the mask. She could be questioned about her health and she would say about the same things as she did to mshep.

Ok, that said, I think she needs to be shown at least for a second, it'd be like watching a Jay and Silent Bob Movie without Silent Bob staying silent, through the majority of the movie and then unloading a monologue at the end.
