Would've been nice but I'll live. I'm more concerned with squadmate AI then what their armor looks like.
Same. I wasn't impressed by the Squad Leader trailer.

Incredibly disappointing. This was one of the worst design choices made in ME2. All squadmates should have their own armor sliders or paperdolls.
Just to clarify, there will be armor customization for the teammates. They were simply just talking about the color of the armor, which will be pre-set as the alt-skins, because I guess BioWare want the characters to be associated with certain colors.
They will do more than the two outfits in ME2.

Now wait a minute, the guy said there will be alt skins. I interpred that as the same system as ME2. There might just be more skins to cycle through per team mate (hopefully).

But, staying on topic:
As long as we get armor skins for everybody (with sealed helmets in toxic environments and vacuum), I'll be fine with just a few extra outfits.

Right. They're purely cosmetic. That doesn't mean there won't be squad armor customization, as many developer tweets have mentioned.
I could have misread/misunderstood something, and if I did, that's my bad, but this is how I see it at the moment.

Yeah, I guess that would be entirely possible.
When I thought of armor customization, I immediately thought of a locker like Sheps in ME2. That was what I was hoping for but it seems that is out of the question.

I'm hoping that it's like Shepard's system, because that'd be pretty cool.
Won't shed any tears if it's like in DA2, though. Either way is an improvement over ME2.

I'll be happy as long as no one goes onto the battle field in 2 inch high heels.
I would change that to 2 inch and/or larger high heels. or no heels equal to or greater than 2 inches. Yeah, I think the latter sounds better.
They could say, "well you didn't want 2 inch heels so we gave characters 4 inch heels".

And I'm not sure why others would, either. According to some, dressing everyone in Black/Red Colossus armor was the pinnacle of customization.

So it appears that each person will have "casual" normandy only outfits (and we've seen Ashley's and Vega's), Then each Charachter will have "combat" armour to be used outside of normandy a la ME1, Shepard will more than likely have the swapable armor peices and several casual outits as seen in ME2
The squadmates may get more than one choice in armour (it seems like most would be happy with 2-3 armours) and may work like ME2 skins but are seperate from casual clothes.
As long as we have an optiopn to put people in something that resembles actual armor, rather than Spandex, bulletproof tattoos, or whatever, I can live with that.
Thats kinda what I said...
Read the post again again
EDIT: (its also confirmed that they get casual wear and combat armour)
I understand. But what one person calls "armor" may not be what another considers "armor"
For example, Samara may be considered to be wearing armor. But I see one rather sizable weak spot in it that would keep me from considering it it functional as such
That's what I'm hoping for. An option to put function over style. Or at least on equal footing.

Since it's just about the colors, I really don't have a problem with it.

Predator L/M/H was green cameo. Red/black was Colossus.
