In Mass Effect 1: Captain David Anderson brought Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams aboard the Normandy SR-1 as a new recruit.Whether Commander Shepard liked it or not.

Also in 2183: Ambassador Udina or the Citadel Council insisted that the first human Spectre allow Tali Zorah
nar Rayya to accompany him in his quest to stop the Rogue Spectre Saren Arterius and his geth allies.

In Mass Effect 2: The Illusive Man gave Commander Shepard an exhaustive list of potential recruits for the Suicide Mission.

Now I can't speak for anyone else but; I think that at this point in the story. It is time for the main protagonist of the game to decide to follow the path of the True geth who believe in self-determination.And
to declare his Independence from the Alliance HQ and Citadel Council. And decide for himself who shall aid him in defeating the Reapers...

It has been said that in Mass Effect 3 Commander Shepard shall have a much smaller shore party than in the other games. After completing the Suicide Mission.I couldn't help but think of what might all those who helped you take down the Collectors.Be doing post -Fight for the Lost? And this is what I came too...

1. Garrus Vakarian should become the Head of Liara T'Soni's Shadow Broker Small Army.

2.Zaeed Masani: Seeing as how he lost the Blue Suns.As strange as it might sound.I could seem him staying on with Cerberus and training their soldiers.(If BioWare didn't go and make Cerberus the Bad-guys once more in ME 3 <_<)

3. Kasumi Goto: As she said,"I don't have much use aboard a star-ship.She should be on 'Stand-By' in ME 3.If Shepard finds use of her skill-sets.

4. Grunt: Needs to be with his people.Learn their ways and find his place among them. And as the krogan Shaman put it in his email to Shep,"The krogan need Grunt more so than Shepard does.

5. Dr. Mordin Solus could supervise the R&D and Reverse Engineering of the Collector Base Tech.

6.Samara the Justicar: Has now gone back to helping the helpless and slaying evil doers. If your Shep is High Paragon she vows to come to youraid if you ever need her. ^_^

7. Thane Krios: Is now spending his remaining days with his son.But if Shepard needs his particular skills. He is 'on call'.

8.Tali Zorah vas Normandy could still be on the your ship.If she was found guilty of treason. If not -- She could return to the Flotilla to be groomed for joining the Admiralty Board.

As for Miranda Lawson, Jacob Taylor, Subject Zero: Jack and Legion. If you are in good stead with them post Suicide Mission.I see no reason for any of them to part ways with Commander Shepard.

Okay... So in ME 3 -- Shepard starts out with a shore party of only five people including himself. Now here is my Commander Shepard's Dossier List in Mass Effect 3.

Matriarch Aethya

Shiala: Asari Commando

Emily Wong -- As an embedded journalist aboard the Normandy.

Dr. Chloe Michel:

 Image IPB

As much as I like Dr.Chackwas.I would replace her with Dr.Michel.She is very attractive, has a sexy voice and is full of youth and exuberance. She also has a knack for getting into trouble. That is amusing
in a way.Even though she declined to be a medic in the Alliance military as her parents are.I could see her at this point in her life.Deciding to make an exception for Commander Shepard. After all that he has done for her.Saving her life. Her career and business...Simply giving someone who has done so much for her a Store Discount -- is
pretty damn insulting! If you ask me...

"Kal' Reegar is my new bro.Garrus has to go..." Mr.Vakarian impressed me a great deal with all the good that he and his team did on Omega.Archangel is a name that will not soon be forgotten on that Space station.People were even talking about him at Donovan Hock's party. As the Shadow Broker Dossier on Garrus makes plain. He will never be able to fulfill his true potential while under Shepard's command.

Kal' Reegar is my kind of soldier. And the sort of fellow that I wouldn't mind having a drink with.He could also be the first male quarian love interest for FemShep.

Veetor is gifted and funny too.I like him and as long as his nurse accompanies him.He should do well working on board the Normandy.

Lastly... Lia'Vael nar Ulnay: I like her spunk. She is good with star-ships.There is a place for her aboard the Normandy if she excepts it...

So this is my Commander Shepard's Dossier List in Mass Effect 3.

What's yours?

Why have a reporter aboard the Normandy? It will be a waste of space and resources.

That ****ing sucks. Looks like Bioware wont be getting 10/10 unless this is corrected.
P.S. Kasumi has the Graybox we need to see that resolved.

Well other than the confirmed characters : Garrus, Liara, Tali, VS, and Vega

Legion - Barely any ME2 face time. Could easily be built upon further.
Grunt - We need a token Krogan and Wrex is busy.
Feron - Thane can't fight if he's dying, though I would prefer Thane. What else is he gonna do?
Prothy- was hinted upon but unconfirmed. Could just be an NPC but could be a good plot device
Salarian - a token salarian is needed (Hopefully Mordin but I doubt it)
Jack - what else is she gonna do? With Shep she will have all the death and destruction she wants.
Vigilante - Possible squadie but I think she was just an actress in the live action trailer. We'll see.
Batarian - Possible but very doubtful since you destroyed their world. Yet to have a Batarian.
Raloi - New to the galaxy. This would introduce us to the Species the quickest.
Samara - If Paragon play through, I can see this. She said she you could call upon her anytime.
Kal'Reeger - But only if Tali died.
Turain Spectre or another Turian we're familar with (Gavorn maybe) - Only if Garrus died

These are just choices I think will be available. You will be limited on how many you can recruit. maybe five from this bunch.

Check out this poll for my picks of possible NPC crew mates for the Normandy. http://social.biowar...23/polls/22941/

Honestly I'd rather have characters be temps in certain areas so they have story line significance in certain areas, and then later on, you have the choice to have them join permanently. Of course you can't get them all though because the ship only has so much space...

All I ever wanted in Mass Effect 2 was to have Zaeed and Wrex as my team because I didn't care for Garrus all that much in ME1. However my heart changed throughout ME2 and Zaeed and Garrus are always and forever my squadmates. I will be heartbroken if Zaeed is not a permanent character. It will ruin my cannon of my playthrough if Zaeed and Garrus and Shep are not blasting peeps apart saving the galaxy.

I can't see why the characters shouldn't stay on that huge ship even if they don't take part in the missions. I could easily see Mordin working full time in the lab for instance, but he might be too busy to go around missionin' with Shep.

I think rather then a dossier, we meet up with each teammate. They stay with us till their story part is done and maybe a little longer.(Garrus= Palavern, Liara= Thessia, etc) They come and go as they roles are filled. It seems they are kinda of hinting at it but who knows when Bioware is in control. I still wish it was James SANDERS! from the initial trailer rather then whatever he is now.

For me... Mass Effect 3 is unique in a certain respect.Normally when a new game or movie or book comes out.One expects to meet New Characters and have New Plot Lines...

In a new fighting game; you want New Stages & New Characters: I want "new" stages in ME 3.Like going to Thessia, Palvalen and Sur'Kesh. But I find myself to not be all that interested in BioWare providing Brand Spanking New Characters for us this time around.I could care less about James Vega or some fellow named "Vigilante". <_<

For i feel that Mass Effect 1 and 2, along with the Novels.Have already provided such a wellspring of personalities and interest. That in game 3: They only need to give NPC's from other games a bigger role in the finale! :wizard:

I really don't want to be forced to take unstable characters like Grunt and Jack with me. Surely the situation is too dire to be forced to take characters you don't trust with you?

How can you say such a thing? :? An embedded journalist could be a great aid in Commander Shepard's war effort against the Reapers. As they can be in the real world. And as I said in my OP, eight of Shepard's former teammates are no longer on the Normandy SR-2.So there's plenty of room now...
