BF3, obviously. I would buy Bad Company 2 over MW3. Call of Duty 4 was a great game...but MW2, Black Ops, and now MW3 are basically just expansion packs..identical gameplay, same graphics. There is zero progress.

Battlefield 3 looks amazing, and DICE has already proven to be masters of the modern multiplayer shooter.

You do run across jerks, no doubt. For the majority of the time I have played though, I have to say the jerks have been at the minimum on the whole experience. Usually I play with friends and stay in a private party with them instead of game chat. I have been very fortunate not to have come across any misogynic players--though I do get the occasional message asking for my phone number or email if they discover I have no testosterone. I think every genre of games have their very own jerk parade. I have seen people here on BSN who don’t even play FPS and I think there is no way I’d ever want to play a multiplayer with them.

I go for Battlefield 3. I'm done with the CoD Franchise for good for a multitude of reasons not even worth my time typing out.

True but they do share the same genre, themes and setting.
Really the only major difference is that Battlefield is all about the expanded battlefield(vehicles,nodes, turrets etc)

I've no interest in either but if I was inclined to try one it would be BF3. Simply because I've already finished a few CoD games so theres nothing new for me to see.

Although they are coming out around the same time as Halo Anniversary and Skyrim so my interest in them is non-existant.

I'm pretty sure they do and they are also very aware of dozens of awesome user-made mods for their Battlefield games.

Neither really, I was thinking of BF3 but with the SPC looking to be only 6-10 hours long I'll pass. Don't care for MP heavy games in general, heck on Reach the bulk of my online time is in fire fight.

BF3 will most liekly be better, sadly I won't be getting it because of EA andt here Origin sh*t. Which is a shame because I still play BF:BC2 regularly.

Call of Crap died after CoD4.

I was really put off from BF3 by the fact that they removed such a basic feature from the PC version as a SERVER BROWSER! Seems completely stupid.

Oh well, I still have faith that the game will be good.

I answered your question. Developers like Dice know very well the capabilities of the PC game modders. I don't believe Rockstar has ever released an official game editior for GTA4 and you know that hasn't stop people from modding the game.

I'm going for Battlefield 3.  The Modern Warfare series peaked with Call of Duty 4 and the final installment just looks like more of the same.

Battlefield 3 looks so much better than going back to modern warfare 3 afterwards is like going down a generation.  Modern Warfare 3 looks like just another ho-hum installment in the Moder Warfare series but Battlefield 3 looks like the evolution of the genre.

Plus it's EA and EA is awesome!

I'm a bit skeptic of both, but I will at least give BF3 a chance. Probably going to end up buying MW3 though. BF1942 is one of my favorite war shooters of all time, but in recent years I've found the CoD series more interesting.

When it comes to CoD, you have to remember that singleplayer and multiplayer are two very different things. Multiplayer-wise, I honestly think Black Ops is best with MW2 a close second. But in singleplayer, MW1 is by far the best, and Black Ops is just mediocre (I REALLY hated some of their missions, like the stealth mission, ugh).

If they fine-tune the multiplayer formula more from Black Ops, I don't doubt it will be a huge success. But there are many ways they could make it worse as well.

The multiplayer formula changed, and that actually means a great deal if you like playing online.

It seems like people are in general very much biased against CoD on these forums. I just don't get why it has to be a religious thing. I play the games I think are fun to play.

I'm not buying Battlefield 3 because I'm boycotting it due to my stance on DLC.

You people can stick with your 5v5 skirmishes, while I hit Planetside 2 where I can enter a battleground with 100+ people, derp.
