I see a lot of people here stating they won't get Battlefield 3 because of Origin. Well, what about Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 3 and future DLC's? Are you not going to get them either?

Also, that 64 player gameplay of B3 looks nice....*drools*, but unfortunately my PC will never run B3 so i'll have to stick with the PS3 version...

EDIT: Oh, i will be getting both games.

Seems like a lot to go just to boycott a store. I mean, i dislike EA and Origin as much as the next person, but you shouldn't put so much loyalty into a service (steam) to an extent where you will refuse to buy DA, ME and Battlefield just because it belongs to a different service. But, whatever... its your choice.

And what about your save transfers? (or do you have them on console?). Oh and, why don't you just get a physical copy ( Or do you have to be connected to Origin anyway?).

EDIT: After seeing this thread, i suppose its justified, maybe.

Physical copies work the same way, Klume. Anyway, I have read the one section of that EULA that is most bothersome for everyone and it is murky if it is really as bad as some are making out to be, or EA is really going to take the nefarious route on this. Semantics and legalese can be a b!tch sometimes.

Screw MW3 and BF3, the only epic FPS title I want is~

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Aliens: Colonial Marines

And I will be buying them from whereever is the cheapest of the legal sellers/retailers.

Physical copies will require Origin. Just like Battlefield 3. Don't get me wrong I have absolutely no problem with Origin itself and games requiring it. Steam does it with a lot of games already and I never cared mainly because I've been using Steam for a long time.

I see you've edited your post but there other things to like inactive accounts can be deleted by EA losing all your games. Steam doesn't do that. Steam also doesn't snoop around and send your data to other companies for ads and such EA wants my money but that isn't enough.

The call of duty series has always catered to the casual, braindead audience. They were the ones that invented regenerating health bars after CoD2

Battlefield has always been about teamwork and objectives, Also to mention: vehicles, physics, and bullet time. Team communication is essential for gameplay.

Call of Duty is infested with children obsessed with k/d ratios and sniping. With hitscan mechanics, this is no real wonder

Wasn't that Halo? Or maybe even a game from an earlier period, I can't put my mind to it, atm.
And yes, lump everyone who likes a certain game into the brain dead and casual category. That isn’t childish and immature at all.

So all 25 million copies of Black Ops sold were to children? C'mon, be real. Just cause those idiots play doesn't mean everyone that plays is an idiot.

^ much better.

New Counter Strike will have cross platform with PC-Mac and PS3! PS3 supports keyboard and mouse input also Steam on PS3. Its from Valve which makes it better just for the support alone.

Battlefield 3 for me.

I prefer teamwork based multi-player. BF haz it. CoD not so much.
