using resources i downloaded after checking out this handy page , i promptly find that my gmax and nwmax dont like each other. i followed all instructions provided and discover that the NW pane described does not load properly.
firstly, it would appear that the autonwmax.ms was completley missing. secondly, gmax on initlialisation doesnt seem to care, and tries to load it anyway. several error messages later i have a miliion little panes and none of them are the one i want, that one was announced by a lovely error message as busted.
I JUST WANNA DO CUSTOM STUFFS, IS THIS ASKING TOO MUCH??????????????
please, someone help, i fear my wife may leave me for another mongoose unless i find a solution.
what the hell is ith my gmax 1.2?

In your scripts directory should be a NWMax folder and in your scripts directory, inside the Startup folder should be autonwmax.ms

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, i dont know WHY i stuck it in the plugins instead of the scripts folder, when it quite clearly says in the readme that it goes in the scripts folder. ta Inayity
my stupidity doesn't change the fact that autonwmax.ms was not packaged with nwmax.
any help on that one? theres a free oxygen molecule for anyone who can

If you installed NWMax for Gmax instead of just copying files around, it would have placed the autonwmax.ms in the scripts/startup folder.
You also need to load gmax using the listener that is provided by the nwmax_for_gmax installer, which creates a new icon down in the running task bar, or leaves a new green icon on your desktop.
The nwmax download page has multiple versions of nwmax, they are ALL different. Be sure you grabbed the one that specifies Gmax, which I will provide the link for here: NWMax for Gmax found on Vault

It is a common failing with NWMax new users to attempt to start Gmax using the Gmax icon, and that just will not work. NWMax for Gmax must have a special "listener" program to actually load gmax so that it can watch memory to pull the data for exporting. If running correctly, you should end up with two icons in the "active" programs section of your task bar. One of those will be a sort of ugly green for the nwmax listener, the 2nd will be gmax.
The listener will not work correctly if you start gmax first and then attempt to load the nwmax listener.
Best bet would just be to hide/delete the actual Gmax startup icon from your desktop/programs listing, and only keep the nwmax icon, that way, you won't forget!
