Mainly due to still being projectiles. The delay that happens while biotic projectiles are flying to the target do make difference in biotic strength. Seriously how hard is it to make INSTANT curving biotics?

Very hard.

And why is that?

No it flies even slower than other projectiles. All biotics are just instant for squad mates.

I would have to say that SOME of the biotic powers should be instant, but not all.  Warp for example would be a good instant.

I like the projectile effect. Looks cooler.

  • Don't play a biotic if you can't aim them
  • Learn to aim slightly above or to the side of targets
  • Use stasis to hold targets in place so you can aim
  • Stop trying to hit enemies from too far a distance. There's a reason why Vanguards got shotguns; most biotics work best up close
Really this seems like a non-issue, aiming the biotic projectiles was fairly simple and any good biotic knows how to swerve the projectiles to go over cover and harrass enemies.

I have never really understood what's the big deal if they have biotic projectiles instead of instant effect.

I think it's actually better, since I can see if it hits the target, and I can shoot it well over cover and make it rain from above.

If it's instant and it hits the box right in front of the target, 1 out of 3 times, I'll think that it hit the target, because of the biotic effect that blocks the view of the enemy.

No you don't get it. I don't have problems with hitting things, I have problem WAITING until my projectiles hit things, it really gives my enemies time to shoot at me if I'm not in cover. I mastered throwing my enemies in any direction, even pushing them towards me or up/down.

But the time. You could just instantly curve the box and get the enemy out of the cover. Or atleast make projectiles fly x3-4 faster.

If I'm short on time, I wouldn't play the game to begin with.

Uh, maybe you shouldn't be in the open? That might help.

I don't see the speed as a big problem. Biotic attacks home, anyway, so it's not like the enemy can dodge.

Because I am a vangaurd? Or because I like moving around.

I think your issue is that your hanging out of cover letting enemies pelt you with lead because you felt bad for slapping them a warp field.

Cover is your friend, he keeps those annoying bullets out of your face.

Having Biotic effects act as projectiles is much better than the instant effect method. Being able to curve the "projectile" around obstacles and to set up strikes from different angles makes for much greater tactical depth. One of my favourites when I play Adept is to have one of my squadmates hit someone with Lift so I can curve a Throw at them from below, launching them high into the air. Good, clean fun.

Yes the can just shoot me while my biotics fly. It's like a rocket launcher in quake, a guy with a railgun can kill you while your rockets fly.

Don't use Charge recklessly. It's a good way to commit suicide.

Read the original post. I said instant-CURVE. I don't want to go back to non-curving biotics.

BTW chill out guys. I'm expressing my opinion on how to make gameplay better. I don't have problems winning or aiming. I'm just saying it would be better, and biotics would be stronger without the delay-hit time.

Besides, biotics have been sped up for 3, anyway. At least that's what I thought I heard from the SDCC demo.
