Sometimes I wish there were 2 separate forums: one for the people who loved DA2, and one for people who didn't.

That is not fair. What about those that liked/loved both?

Just like everything else, it would be your choice. ;)

Still however, some people would complain that the opossing forum's "Kumbaya" is too loud.

And don't get me started about the cross-forum panty raids...

Ha, good question lol :) but you are asking the wrong person - I am on the "don't want" side of the fence ...
+ I am asking the same question myself.

Actually, I think it would be interesting to watch. From a safe distance of course. And behind bulletproof glass, just to be on the safe side.

My level of dread just rose even further. If you try to please everyone, you please no one almost invariably.

Just admit that DA2 was a mistake (to yourselves if not us) and go back to the general DAO model and improve on that.

Negative, I have absolutely no desire for a return to the "general DA:O model."  If I want to play DA:O, I play DA:O.

So what do you suggest ? Completly new game - without any resemblance to DAO/DA2.

Because following your logic - if I want to play DA2, I play DA2.

What about those of us that DON'T want to play DA2?

The hopefully we can both get something else.  Look, I liked Origins well enough, but I don't want a re-skin of any game.  Well, maybe KOTOR, but that's it.  I just don't see the point to going back to what was clunky in DA:O.  There's no Holy Grail of RPG contained anywhere in Origins.  By your logic as well, what about those of us that DON'T want to play DA:O?  We already have both of those games, let's move on to something else.  If Bioware wants to re-skin Origins, that's fine, but it's not something that I would want to play.  Been there, done that.  Some games have very high replay value for me, and Origins just doesn't.

Ok, and what about those who DO find replay value in DAO?
What about those who see no reason to stay with DA2 like you see no reason to go back to DAO?
you want them to Re-Skin DA2 or what?

At least it saves us from you people making another pointless DA2 vs. DA:O flame war that this thread will inevitably end with. Posted Image

In case you don't know here is a hint for you : no one force you to read or to post in any thread. You don't like it don't read it.

I already answered that question, but I don't think you read it:

"Then hopefully we can both get something else."

That's what I wrote above, and that's what I'd like to see.

To be honest - there is just too much **** in DA2, so when someone says "best of DAO and DA2" natural assumption will be "half of the thing will be ****". Look, there is no denying that some things were better in DA2: like, better visual effects for spells, spell effects disappearing when not in combat. It's just that all this pales in comparison to just how bad the whole thing was.

Also: if you beat a dead horse on a sunny day it may explode. Let us continue.

Following Ian's logic, DA3 should be more of DA:O because he wants it that way.

DA3 should be like DA3!
