You mean economically?

True, in the coming ages, I predict the prosper of communist nations, but even China themselves said they don't see their rising economic power as a "hegemony" over the world market. Chinese may become more common, but I don't see them taking over the world.


Or that could all be rhetoric and they're secretly planning a surprise attack on us with other communist and Arab nations. Guess we'll have to wait and see.



As long as ME3 comes out before then.

Allright, let's take Iran for example.  The non-interventionists seem to want to just ignore their regime until it goes away, while the neocon response would be to invade, and occupy the country until it's people accept our values.  I think that it would be preferrable to simply destroy all of their military installations with air power, and send in ground troops just long enough to defuel and dismantle their reactors and than leave. I think that using force is an acceptable way for the country to protect itself.  However, I do not agree that trying to rebuild the countries we invade in our image is a wise use of money, or that their citizens can be made to accept our values.  If we went to war with Iran today, we would lose because of our inability to accept anything less than regime change.
