I hate dogs.

I killed several. And ate many more. They are delicious.

As an ER nurse, the study that says 52% of people that go to emergency rooms between the hours of 0001 - 0500 are drunk or on drugs is wrong, it's higher.
I hate taking care of drunk ****holes that fall down and go boom.
The police have saved me on multiple occasions at work, and are under appreciated.
I do not like cats.
Men do not handle pain as well as women.
I hate parents that don't give their child tylenol, so they can have a high fever when they show up in the ER.

Nothing special. They can be cooked like pork/rabbit.

The spicy dog meat soup is a Korean specialty though - you can find it in some Korean restaurants. It's good. Boshintang, I think it is called.

Maybe it's for the best to have a thread where the crusts of former human beings can freely and fully set out their callousness, virulency, inanity, ignorance and undeveloped understanding. A duly warning for the rest.

Hah. One more believer in the little social lies we tell each other every day.

The internet is real humanity on display, primitive lizard-brain and all.

That is the damned truth right there.

Hahahaha you're welcome. Actually East Asians eat dog meat because it's necessary. There's a lack of large domestic animals in East Asia throughout most of its history. No cow, no cattle, very few sheep or goat. You got some pigs, and that's it. Alternative protein sources are needed to maintain the high population densities. The dogs that are eaten are actually grown especially for that purpose, like cattle.

Yeah, and the Chinese have apes I hear. But what's up with the French? They eat frogs, then trade the skins with the Americans, so they can have lots of frogskins with "In Frog we trust" written on 'em to buy Freedom Fries?

Most of mine are political and/or religious, but there are a few I can put here that are appropriate enough.

1.  Dragon Age 2 is a better overall game than Dragon Age Origins.  DAO was truly a grueling experience, moreso than it needed to be.  Both have their strengths and faults, but I give the final nod to DA2.

2.  I detest stories with depressing conclusions.  I don't care if that is realistic.  The point of entertainment is to get away from reality.  DA2 gets a pass because it's not the conclusion of the series.

3.  Real time strategy games are less about strategy and more about being able to outclick your opponent.

4.  People are so untrustworthy that I cannot see myself entering into marriage, a long term relationship, or even a casual dalliance.  I would not expect to marry and have a family even if a woman would have me.  Which she wouldn't.

5.  Talking on the phone sucks.

6.  Humanity in general is ruled by its own baser instincts.  It is generally safer to assume someone is dishonest / can't be trusted until you have reason to believe otherwise.

7.  Proper terminology should always be used when describing something technical.  The prime example of this, in a field I am personally familiar with, is the word "download".  People abuse that word.  Contrary to popular belief, it actually means something specific, which is almost never what anyone is talking about when they use it.  Words have meaning and I can't help you if you use the wrong words and, thus, communicate the wrong information.

8.  I have a strong southern accent.  Deal with it.

9.  Words have meanings.  Keep this mind at all times.

10.  Rock music in all its variations is one of the greatest cultural achievements of the human race.  Except for emocore.

11.  While we're on music, the concept of mixing heavy metal with operatic vocals and symphony orchestras is made of so much pure distilled win that the Earth almost can't contain it.

12.  Southern Rock, on the other hand, is made of so much win that the Earth really can't contain it.  Which is why God keeps all the master copies in his throne room in heaven.

13.  Defenselessness is not a virtue.  Not only does it reek of naivete, it's a shirking of your duty to yourself and those that may rely on you.

14.  Peace and freedom alike are maintained at the point of a sword, and thank God for the sword-bearers.

15.  The truth is a beautiful thing.  It is not concered with politeness or gently handling anyone's feelings.  It simply is, and it bows before no man.

16.  Respect is earned, not given away.  Also note that winning an election does not grant respect.  Only a job.

17.  "Help" is a very polite and palatable term for "Control".

18.  People who come bearing gifts do not seek to bring you happiness.  They seek to wield influence and control over you through guilt and other emotions.

19.  Your heart will tell you to do many things, most of them foolish.

20.  Mankind is wired in such a way that he will worship/venerate something, no matter what.  One must choose wisely.

21.  The modern Chevrolet Corvette is a pleasure to drive.  So much of a pleasure, in fact, that I imagine it's illegal to feel that good in several states.

22.  Beer tastes like something sour and rotten (which it is).  Wine of all sorts taste like cough syrup.

23.  But I can roll with a good Kentucky Bourbon.  Which is also soured and rotten, so go figure.

24.  Barbarians are not an artifact of history.  They exist even today just as surely as they did in previous eras.  They're just better dressed now and often have titles and cushy jobs.

25.  There is no such thing as unbiased news sources and there never has been.  The idea that a news reporter can deliver the news without injecting his/her own bias into the reporting, even subconsciously, is unreasonable.  To believe otherwise is ignoring too much of what is known about the human psyche and character.

26.  An organization of any kind is capable of anything that it's constituent members are capable of, both good and evil.

27.  Speaking of evil, yes, it really does exist.

28.  No war has ever been fought where innocent people were not killed.  This fact does not invalidate the cause being fought for, nor does it mandate that an otherwise just war be abandoned.

29.  The majority of people are more polite in person than on the internet.  This is a subconscious reaction born of the knowledge that a person's body may be called upon to cash the checks their mouth is writing.

30.  I never thought Pink Floyd was all that great.

31.  Science is incapable of explaining everything.

Edit:

32.  The M1911 Government Model pistol, as designed by John Browning, is the finest autoloader handgun ever invented, despite what the Glock people will tell you

Also: I'm not a fan of Sten or Wrex. I don't hate them, but they honestly make me go "meh". I don't understand why they have so many fans as they do.

Again, not hating either characer.

I despise people who are flinching away from military service by hurting themselves long enough that the military wont accept them.

I don't know much about art but I found it kinda odd that he did the actual painting so well yet it looks like a small child signed his name for him.

I didn't think that Oblivion was a good game. It was mediocre.
