Or I took yours too literally. What I meant, societíes at large are based on trust. Healthcare is based on trust, our laws are based on trust, economy, human relations, everything requires (mutual) trust. Of course it's sad, once the trust is broken it's difficult to get back.

If you don't trust a thing, you could not even breathe, drink water, eat, travel or load your gun, or use your computer and so on, anything which is manufactured, touched, scheduled etc by others. Quite a horror, nu?

For all luck, generally most of people most of time are pretty peaceful and trustworthy, not at each other's throats at all.

True that. The problem is, these days such opinions are becoming more and more mainstream since lots of people seem to have no life outside the net and dwell in the echo chambers of the like-minded.

Lots of people still do not even have computers not to talk about internet.

Not been my experience.  I think you took my original meaning just fine.

You are right that human relations are built on trust.  That's the reason I don't have many friends and no romantic entanglements at all.

When you get kicked every time you make the attempt, you learn to not make the attempt.  It's better this way, I think.
