Yep, even a Paragon Shepard works to advance human interests. That was the whole point of becoming a spectre in the first place in ME1.

Yeah, though Spectre's are galactic peace-keepers and work as the right hand of the council, that isn't the reason why Shepard became a Spectre. Lots of people seem to forget that.

The reason why Shepard became a Spectre, is to give humanity to opportunity to solve their problem with Saren and the geth in the Traverse.
It was a win-win for both parties. The council wouldn't have to intefere themselves and risking a political fallout and humanity finally got their first Spectre and the opportunity to solve their geth problem.

So yeah, Shepard became a Spectre to help out humanity in the first place.
And as Captain Anderson said about Shepard being a candidate for becoming a Spectre: "Humanity needs this."

Save at all costs:

Asari
Salarians
Rachni
Geth

Save if possible:

Humans
...

You go first in dying to save another species, then.

Seeing others willing to sacrifice humanity for another species makes me almost want to go work for Harbinger.

Well, spend enough time on the BSN, and one's esteem for and faith in humanity is bound to wane.

What about your wanting to wipe out the Vorcha? Are you jealous and envious of their immunity to disease, their regeneration and adapbility?

Vorcha > You

Except for, despite all of their enviable qualties and superiority, they still only have a life-span the equivalent to 1/7th of a human lifespan (in mass effect).:innocent:

CDN has a story saying that it's possible to extend their lifespans.

We should be more worried about a Vorcha Reaper not a human one, mark my words.

 Saved      /        Sacrifice

Krogans  /       Volus

Asari       /         Vorcha

Turians    /         Batarians

Salarians  /        Elcor

Geth    /       Quarians

If i need to choose even further i will save,

Turians     over    Krogans

Salarians    over    Quarians

Humans     over     Asari

I pretty much have the same responses as the OP on this topic.  Except I'd save the Geth and sacrafice the Quarians.  And if I had to choose, I'd save the Turians over the Krogan.

Genocide of an entire species takes years even for the reapers, so I'd say they can all be saved, Unless ofc the species is pre spaceflight.

The genocide of the Protheans took centuries because they were the sole space-fairing species of their time and occupied what probably equates to the combined territory of the Council and Terminus systems.

Also, the Reapers had the advantage that they could take their time because every individual system was cut off by the Relay Network shut-down. Coheasive resistance was impossible for the Protheans.

This cycle's species are far more localized individually than the Protheans were, with species such as Humans only possessing a dozen low-population colonies, and the Quarians being reduced to a fleet without a world.

While it might take the Reapers centuries to wipe out all of the current species, wiping out individual ones is a far quicker task.

Gaaaaah! Break fans!

By this reasoning, cockroaches > You. The vorcha regeneration, immunity to disease and all that is pretty pointless when they have the intellectual capacity of a surly kindergartener.

That is really an unknown, at this point. My peferrence is for ME3 to simply stop the Reapers and establish a stalemate. BW will probably end the issue in ME3, but who knows what kind of time-frame we're looking at?

Vorcha run liquor distilleries, act as intelligence operatives in Asari worlds and rebuild Hanar colonies among other things. They're far smarter than you Asari lovers give them credit for.

They're good people.

Meh. Never met a vorcha who could string two sentences together. Kill 'em all, let the Goddess sort 'em out. ;)
