Ok so i do know that Garrus and Tali are returning in ME3 as permenant squad members. But what if you either accidently or purposely killed them on the suicide mission in ME2, and then decided to import that character to ME3. Would they appear in ME3? Or by killing them, ME3 would be made harder since you are lacking 2 teammates.
I wonder if someone asked the same thing about Wrex before ME2.
Are people really worried about dead squad members coming back?

All the squad mates shepard had ever killed on a mission from the past 2 games, come back as Zombies and you must defeat them.
If nobody died, then you must engage in a DDR style dance off against:
1. Wrex
2. Garrus
3. Miranda
4. The Illusive Man
But to answer the topic, yeah they won't come back.

but since this thread isn't about that and is instead about "how will ME3 work if they died", my retort to that is simple: if they died in ME2, they stay dead in ME3....as for what exactly will happen, you have to wait like the rest of us........

If you never got the Kasumi or Zaaed DLC, never opened Grunt's tank or activated Legion, it didn't make a single difference as to how difficult ME 2 was, the same will be the case for ME 3. And if by chance it's a role that needs filling, they'll just put in an alternate character like Tuchanka's Leader if Wrex didn't make it in ME 1.

This
If Shepard dies in ME2 and you import that file ME3 is harder too, in the fact you can't play.

It would probably be like Kasumi, Zaeed, and Liara were in Mass Effect 2, except they -shouldn't- make it dlc. Or, another example, like Wrex, Ashely or Kaiden. If they died in the first game they were mentioned in the second, but they weren't in the game.

first of all, zombies are ridiculous, we already have abominations and husks and vorcha, who needs zombies. Second of all, Shepard would be lucky to come in 3rd against that group in a dance off.

It does, actually. Or it would if Shepard could cast healing spells on enemy targets :/

I actually have a file ready with Garrus and Tali dead, just to see how that works out in 3.CuseGirl wrote...
But this thread has given me a new idea. If the new squad in ME-3 is supposed to be smaller, I should just kill people in ME-2 that I dont wanna see.....I could care less about Tali.....yea....

Well Thane is pretty good on the suicide mission, and zaeed is good for missions involving geth.
