@ RodentDung, when you are putting in the image link are you using the image location (right click on image)? If you copy the http from the browser it often will not link to the image.

I used rightclick as well as the forum image link provided by imageshack.... neither works. I've done plenty of image posting on other sites so this is familiar terrain for me but maybe the previous poster might be right about imageshack and Bioware not getting along.

You know, people do criticise them, but to be honest I don't think they're that bad. Compare:kamal_ wrote...
Closeups of the characters may not make the best shots, the character models are not very good and generally criticized.

Dragon Age: Origins:
Action Shot 1
Action Shot 2
(don't want to sully the thread with the competitor's screenshots)
OK so the textures look to be a bit higher res, perhaps, but I don't think the models are really any better. DA:O has better faces, but it's no Half Life 2 - when people speak their faces stretch all funny.
I notice the new Neverwinter doesn't show many shots of characters. I wonder why? It's 10 years newer (so new it doesn't exist yet), but I'll bet the models aren't significantly better. I mean, this guy doesn't even have both forearms!
Even something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, an FPS, still looks a bit cartoony. It's a video game, for crying out loud, not a video camera. Bear in mind also that these sorts of games are much newer games, with much bigger budgets, and you focus on shooting other people (not, like, Carrion Crawlers). You're going to spend more effort making the people you're shooting look better.
Personally I'd take BG1's graphics over any of these any day, but there you have it.

I also tried a different resolution. 180x135. Maybe it's an aspect ratio problem.
Also what's weird is that when I quote that post with your pics, it say "dunniteowl wrote". Your other posts seem correct. Maybe the moderator dunniteowl went in to your post to trouble shoot and the forum got confused.
edit: it's really doing some weird things. The forum changed lines in the BBcode.
I then tried the imageshack forum option link. Pasted that into BBcode and just added the resolution 180x135 after IMG. That seems to work fine. Hopefully it doesn't magically change again.

Especially after having played The Witcher, with impressive model details and realistic looking textures (not to mention animations that resembled motion-capture - if indeed it wasn't used to create them). Hair that actually moved was also a plus. Of perhaps hairspray is common-place in the Forgotten Realms?

Failed again after another dozen tries editing this. Note that I'm using the exact format recommended in the first post of this thread with the size 180x135 but the forum is changing my code to this (dots added):
I surrender.
[edit: testing in progress... hmm, can't seem to embed the pics, but at least they can be clicked on. DNO]

Thanks for your help foil. You must be a wizard at this cause I tried everything I could think of to make it work and was foiled everytime. I will switch to photobucket as I found my account is still there. Hopefully I don't mess up the thread again with my folly.

No problem. As Morbane said, the image shack forum option seams to be the easiest. Still, your links managed to give me trouble anyway fighting me all the time. I think the bottom two still link to the incorrect photos: that could have been my error. I haven't had time to look further but will try later on.
If you don't already use it, Dropbox may be the easiest thing. It installs a public folder on your computer that uploads everything to the cloud when you drop files into that folder. Then you just right click the file in the folder on your computer, the context menu pops up, and you select "Dropbox>copy public link"
No weird hosting site codes or anything. Just a direct link that you can past in.

This keeps getting weirder. It's also funny that when I quote you and make no changes, sometime a thumbnail will show up. You might consider contacting Chris Priestly (BioWare community manager) and ask him if there are problems with your account. This may go beyond what we can fix at our level.

From my experience, Neverwinter 2 has much richer, more colorful graphics than Dragon Age which always has the same dreary backgrounds of all one dull color and the high res gives that that single dull color a very dreary, repetitive feeling. The cliche story and cliche character designs in Dragon Age also wilted my will to play it. I stopped playing Dragon Age after one session cause it was making me depressed. I tried Neverwinter 2 for the first time and found it fun and it looks great.

Some of the Community's work is simply amazing!
But animations are the real Achilles' foot here. And general responsiveness/clunkiness of the interface. More and more often I'm getting put of by how awkward it handles, how poorly responds and how weak the animations are. And how the camera persists to annoy the hell out of me, particularly in passages/doorways in character mode. I don't know, but somehow NWN1 was far superior in this aspect.

Yes, you'll find that a lot of the NWN2 Community mods are quite well done.
