Mordin - he's like 50, and a Salarian's life span is 40 years or so, right?
Thane - he's ill, there will be no cure. Unless.. digesting organic reaper species core thingy has magical healing powers or something. Which I doubt..
Garrus - :( Because everyone likes him, loves him or wants to be him. He's so popular..
If we see Samara on a mission, I think she might die too. She's fulfilled her calling, so to speak - killing Morinth and I think she'd die willingly for someone else to survive.

I can live with any casualties as long as Shepard, Liara and Garrus don't get killed. If they can get killed I want their deaths to be preventable somehow.

Thane doing the battle I can live with that and Mordin after words Maybe Wrex Taking out a Huskified Thrash Maw... .cause if Wrex is gonna got a be against the badest mother in the galaxy.

really if the going to Kill anyone just don't make the stupid Hollow "for the Sake of Drama" Deaths. If that is one thing I hate is writers killing characters " For the Sake of Drama" instead of it being part of the arch as a character.

And it pissed me off when during the Collector ship mission Joker says, ''I'm not losing another Normandy!''

Selfish. ******.

Not gonna be surprised if it's Liara. She's the only old squadmate guaranteed to be in absolutely EVERYONE's game and considering how much BioWare loves her, they may want to make her even more 'huge/iconic', like have her pull off some epic sacrifice or whatever.

I think someone like Anderson will die in all playthroughs. There has to be the death of a "beloved" character in ME3, and LIs are pretty much out of the equation. That leaves Anderson, Joker, and a few others. Chakwas can already be dead, and so can every squad member except Liara, James Vega and the Virmire Survivor. Liara and the VS can be LIs, so I don't think it will be them (at least not in all playthroughs), and James Vega is "too new" for his death to have much pathos. But if Anderson died, then it would have some emotional weight.

There should always be a redshirt in Biowares view.

Plus someone big must die like Anderson or Hannah Shepard to show the tragedy of the war.

It would be cool if they made it similar to Virmire (but with more people, and more deaths), where someone has to die, but you might have a choice. Even cooler if it's a permanent or semi-permanent squadmember -- so if both Tali and Garrus died in ME2 in your playthrough, you have less options, or something like that.

...nah, they wouldn't do that, it would be too complicated, but hey, a girl can dream :)

I was thinking about someone from Shepard's past.

Spacer - Captain Shepard (Commander Shepard's mother, she got promoted to Captain in his two year absence). She came to Earth for her son's trial when the Reapers attack. She makes it to her ship and orders a counter-attack before it is destroyed (ship in the play-through video) as Shepard watchs.

Colonist - not really sure.

Earthborn - not really sure.

Liara, Bioware is taking a lot of effort for us to like her, moreso than other characters. Even the interaction with her in LotSB if she is/was not your LI tells us that Shepard and Liara have a special 'bond'. And the way she's described in 'Genesis' doesn't offer a lot to argue about this.

So it's like this: TIM will have Liara kidnapped and get her somehow indoctrinated. Than Shepard is going to save her, naturally. Next Liara will act a bit 'odd', and strange things will be happening onboard the Normandy, like crewmembers (and possibly squadmembers and/or your LI if he/she's not Liara). Later on when you go after the Illusive Man, thinking he's behind all of this, you're forced to bring Liara along, since she still has some 'unfinished business'.
Ofcourse when you finally face him, he will reveal the truth about Liara and you'll be forced to kill her. In a bit of a cliche way, when she's almost dead she will tell you in her last breath she always loved you and such and that The Illusive Man is actually your father...

euhr yeah probably
