Seriously Bioware, I thought female Turians were guaranteed...

ME2 - Drell, Male Quarians, Yahg, Vorcha models

Ask now whether their inclusion into the game was important.

Mass Effect is all about detail, how can you argue otherwise? New models are nice and refreshing, and there is plenty of opportunities for Bioware to expand on what they have created.

Adding Turian females would satisfy the lacking immersive feel to the Turian race and would spice up our environment. I don't understand why people would be against it, don't Bioware fans like this kind of stuff?

Also, there are only 3 alien species in Mass Effect that we seen both genders.

Rachni in ME1.
Quarians in ME2.
Krogans in ME3.

That's just sad.

Hmm...what's the saying: once a marine, always a marine. The turians are straight up a militaristic society. With mandatory military service and social norms of at least 15 years of service, I'm guessing the number of non-combatants is low.

Back to female turians needing to be included, they're shown in every other media as soldiers except the game. Why do that if you're not willing to remedy it in ME3? Just seems silly to me since they won't look very different.

Rachni in ME1. - Insect-like species.
Quarians in ME2. - "Hides" behind helmets.
Krogans in ME3. - Only seen one, barely.

That's just sad.

It's kinda funny.

Don't get me started on the Asari, recent revelations have made me angry at them.

Also Rachni can be extinct in ME1, for real this time.
There are only 15 million Quarians left.
And there ain't many Krogans either compered to other races.

So only minorities that we knew since ME1 got both genders that we can see.

Come on, BioWare. A female turian can't be that hard to do.

Actually, yes, it can. As soon as someone hear/see this female alien, they're going to jump on here and complain.

"OMFGFMG dat female turian sounds WRONG!"
"Why does the female salarian look so bad?"
"why can't I romance the female elcor?!!!?!?"

Bioware probably won't bother. It's simply not worth it... or necessary.

The same could be said for males.
Saying females are not necesary seems a bit sexist to me, your saying that only male models are required because they are more important.

'a bit sexist' *facepalm.jpg*

I just don't see why it's THAT important to introduce these female versions of alien species. I guess it would be interesting, but meh.. I'm more interested in seeing the different fleets, homeworlds etc.

If hanar are anything like actually jellyfish the gender issue would not only be nonexistant, but confusing as hell.

Elcor I can see having physical difference, but of course their voice would probably be the same unless gender is actually important for them to express.

Volus? No idea. We have VERY little idea about their biology, less than the quarians even.

^I don't think there's female Hannar.

And yeah, it would great too see female Elcor and Volus.
But no need to have sex with them, just to be there as merchant or some other NPC role that can be remembered.

I want to see them too!

And seriously, we get bent out of shape around here about FemShep's representation in the media and what not but we don't get up in arms about the TOTAL LACK of female aliens? It boggles the mind, really.

I'll have to read through the codex again, but I don't think it says anything about hanar gender, and as I said if they actually do emulate real jellyfish, we don't want to bother, as it changes during life stages.

I just checked, no info. Its all completely unknown, and as they also use simalar translation technology as the elcor to communicate...

Which reminds me, instead of having the machine talk monotone and saying how they feel, why don't they just have the translator do all of that for them?

Off to the codex again.

Unlesss it's story-specific or plot-important it is most certainly not necessary to shoe-horn unnecessary things into the game including female alien character models, animations, rigging etc that could be better used elsewhere.

Female turians could use the same rigging and animations as men just fine, just cut the fringe back and give them some hips. Add a female voice-over and there you go, FemTurian!

I always got the impression in Retribution that the female turian ambassador was being groomed as a replacement for Councilor Valern, for what it's worth, and some of us would like to see Garrus' mother and sister so there's three plot-related FemTurians right there.

It's Bob the Homosexual Hanar, he's known for his many talents with tentacles that can drive any man crazy. His glowing patterns instill unresistable lust in everybody, including straight men.

Shoehorn? We have female humans, lets just delete them. In fact, females are unnesecary. Lets delete all female quarians, all female humans, all female asari (Wait...)

So miranda is unnesecary, so is Tali, and Kelly... and Jack... and samara... and gabby, and parasini... you get the idea.

In fact, instead of saving a krogan princess, lets just save a generic krogan with big balls. His balls will save his species! (wait...)

ignoring what i said completely... all those examples served story-purposes and many were significant characters. random female turian X in the background is not
