Unlesss it's story-specific or plot-important it is most certainly not necessary to shoe-horn unnecessary things into the game including female alien character models, animations, rigging etc that could be better used elsewhere.

It kind of is story specific and plot important, Turians are not like the minor races where we rarely encounter more then three or four throughout the entire game.  Turians are a numerous race that is everywhere in the galaxy, and unlike salarians who are ruled by a very small number of females who stay on the home world, the females are supposed to be as numerous as the males and share an equal role in every aspect of their society.

I always got the impression in Retribution that the female turian ambassador was being groomed as a replacement for Councilor Valern, for what it's worth, and some of us would like to see Garrus' mother and sister so there's three plot-related FemTurians right there.

Not seeing any salarian females is very understandable, same with krogan (even though we're getting one anyway). I might even be willing to excuse not seeing any batarian women because batarians aren't all that common on most worlds and it wouldn't be hard to portray their civilization as a mysogynistic. However if we don't get turian females in the game I'm going to be very disappointed with it and with the development team. It's not funny, it's just sloppy. Why would you persist in doing this?

At the very least retcon turians to not be sexually dimorphic at all. Put an extra blurb in the codex that states that non-turians can't usually tell the difference between a male and female turian. They better beat us over the head with it with constant lampshades and comments about how weird it is that Shepard doesn't recall ever once seeing a female turian in his entire life.

(female drell not being seen is understandable so long as we never visit Kahje)

Female turians could use the same rigging and animations as men just fine, just cut the fringe back and give them some hips. Add a female voice-over and there you go, FemTurian!

If that happen, many pro-Renegades would shut up about being left out.

Also it would made my canon playthrough even sweeter( Paragon, but the Council died).

Shoehorn? We have female humans, lets just delete them. In fact, females are unnesecary. Lets delete all female quarians, all female humans, all female asari (Wait...)

So miranda is unnesecary, so is Tali, and Kelly... and Jack... and samara... and gabby, and parasini... you get the idea.

In fact, instead of saving a krogan princess, lets just save a generic krogan with big balls. His balls will save his species! (wait...)

See the thing is, a female turian could be story important. However creating generic female turians would be less resource intensive than makeing one unique female.

However if you still wish me to modify my story I will, we will just delete every generic female in the me universe instead. So only human males on colonies, no Asari at all except for the story specific ones, and no male Quarians on the flotilla. Why did bioware have to shoehorn in male Quarians?

We get plenty of different looking asari, various face patterns, clothes and whatnot. They even managed to make male quarians look different with simple coloration. So why not a female turian model?

By the way wasn't Kahje originally announced as one of possible ME3 locations? Or did my imagination run wild?

Haven't heard that yet but it would be cool if it were to make it in! Female drell should come with it, of course.

This made me facepalm so hard. I thought Bioware would have known by now that female turians is a must,

Are they?

especially in the third game in which the species will play larger roles.

Do they?

Not going to comment on the specifics... but I think you're making some assumptions here.

you can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you cant make assumptions that female turians will be in the game.

But remember guys, we only had female quarian in the first game, eh? Just remember that.

They should have stuck in a female counterpart in the second game somewhere, even if it costed more time and money... but, eh. I guess we can't do anything about that, now.

I bet you we will see them in the DLC, guys :) Don't worry too much.

Its more like we only got to see one quarian, not only a female quarian.

Thats less silly than not seeing any female turians. Quarians are rare in the citadel, female turians are not. So we get to see a female quarian... but no female turians?

Don't get me wrong, tali's my favorite squaddie, but still.

Think about it, why did Bioware add Quarian males? Because you & Tali had to head towards the Migrant Fleet; where the vast majority of Quarians resided. (Plus, an all Female admiralty board would have been weird)

We are heading into Turian space, to the heart of the Turian Empire to be specific. While the absence of Female Salarian and Krogan, is understandable, the only reason we havn't come across Female Turians is because Bioware hasn't designed them.

Indeed, which is why we want it in me3. We have managed to pretend the female turians were devoured by the keepers for two games now, but keepers don't exist outside the citadel!

This looks promising, if Google Translate is to be trusted.

I think we should see female representations from every species, just my opinion.

How the hell do they combat terrorism, if they give bombs to everyone?

it is confirmed that they WIll be in ME3 i was at the EA community lounge presentation when that question was asked.
they said yes you will see female turians and salarian but they couldnt go into detail about what they would look like or what roles they would play.

obiously we already know what turian females look like because of the comics.

Conflicting reports last I heard. Some saying we definitely won't see any new females except for Krogans, whilst another said that they were still looking at putting them in.

Frankly I think it would be crazy if we don't at least see female Turians. And whilst I know resources can be an issue, I think showing us the women (and children, in an ideal world) of the different races of the Galaxy helps give a face to the peoples we are fighting to protect. It's bigger than Humanity afterall.

So yeah, really hoping they find a way to make this happen.

I don't see any reason why they WOULDN'T be there... That said they shouldn't really get too much special attention, though it would be nice to meet Garrus' sister and mother.

So... if we go to Palaven... or Palaven's moon... or board a Turian dreadnought or whatever... basically any situation where we deal with their species and see lots of them.. not a single one of them will be female out of sheer and utter bad luck?

I knew it. It was just a vocal misunderstaning people.

On top of that, a behind closed doors session of ME3 at GC revealed that there will be female turians and salarians.

And I don't see how it's possible to avoid female aliens anymore. It makes sense that we might only see male turians and salarians traveling around the galaxy if female hold positions of authority on their homeworlds. But we're going to their home worlds.

I also expect to see female batarians.
