Well, being the largest and all. And being around more than twice as long as humanity. It's obvious that the asari reach within the trillions.
Heck, if humanity grows with 1 billion every decade (and increasing), than you can assume that asari do the same.
The fact that asari can also reproduce with other species only makes it more obvious that the asari population obviously grows much faster than any other population does. Maye their long life-span keeps their growth a bit in check, but it's obvious that the asari race is far bigger than humanity.
