I don't believe I've seen this mentioned before, when you're in Act 1 and you're talking with Martin in Isabela's companion quest, you can ask him about the Raiders.

Hawke: Are the Raiders a big problem around here?
Martin: They've got some big plan for Kirkwall, or so I've heard. If they're not a problem now, they will be soon.

Who's guessing this means Raiders will be involved in future DLC, hell... maybe it'll be the next one to be announced?

Considering that there was a T-shirt design dedicated to them, I'm betting they'll wind up being of some significance. But will a DLC that features them also pertain to Isabela, or to the Qunari? (or both)

Yeah, I felt it was odd that they had their own website entry / T-Shirt and lore involved in DA2 without much significance. I'd assume it would involve both, maybe. Considering Kirkwall is a huge trading port though, I wouldn't be surprised if taking over Kirkwall is the only thing their interested in.

I wonder if this will tie into Melo's comment about how he "would like to see more of Isabela".

And a prime time to do that would be...oh...when everything is burning? Folks are running amok, tripping over mages and templars - seems like a prime opportunity to set up shop.

I wonder if where the demon pirate armada beach vacation comes into play.

The Raider Leader is possessed by a Pride Demon and wants to invade Kirkwall to throw a beach party, simply because Hawke desires it so.

....you mean that's not already a demand of the Qun?

I also found it odd that the Raiders don't have more significance in DA2. They were kind of built up to be somewhat important, but they never figured into more than a couple of quests.

And the leader of the Raiders is named Ianto! It would be a shame to waste a Torchwood reference like that.

Wouldn't Hawke already know about the raider problem, since he spent a year in Kirkwall already? This reminds me of Hawke asking Thrask about Meredith or when he asks the boy about the Coterie - it seems to be more for the player than the actual character, since the protagonist should know this already.

As for DLC, maybe it'll be tied to heading to different parts of the Free Marches? One of the devs mentioned we will see at least two of the city-states.
