Well title says it all. I went through the legacy DLC which had some great story btw, but left alittle disappointed. Pretty much everything I picked up in the DLC at level 16, will be replaced at 17 with the warrior pack DLC items... Why wouldn't you make the legacy items which you have to work for, be better than the auto acquired level 17 DLC items??

Perhaps a patch to boost some stats is in order?

It depends on when you do Legacy.

Its been suggested that you go through the Legacy DLC around the ending of Act 3 when youre about level 20 something.

I do think that Hawkes Key should be better, or be "pretty good" but levels up with you. Its sorta weird that a level 10 character with Hawkes Key would end up not using it after an hour or two.

Pretty much. Next patch add a rune slot and improves with level up to the Key and I'll be happy. Hell, Varric gets Bianca. I don't see why Hawke's Key can't be (over)powered. Especially since it's "premium content".

Agreed.
I played Legacy on a post-campaign save as a lvl 27 mage and the key-staff was nicely statted imo.
Personally I wouldn't play the DLC before late in Act 3 anyways, but it would only make sense to have the key level up with you, no doubt. (playing on PC though, a mod for this is, or will be around :)

Like the evolving Staff of Parthalan, om nom nom!
