So, we all know Benezia is her mother, but is Aethyta her father? I was looking at the videos in the Shadow Broker's base (after we won the mission, etc) and there is a video of Aethyta drinking while looking at a picture of . . . LIARA! This means only one thing to me; Aethyta is Liara's father. Why else would she be working as a bartender on, of all the planets in the galaxy, Illium? Why not the citadel? Thessia? Because her daughter is there.
If this has been hashed out already, sorry, I looked for this topic, but didn't come up with anything.

Rought guess? Aethyta was a lot more confrontational than Benezia and their relationship ended with a series of large arguments.

If Aethyta is her "father" then it is possible that benezia was not only embarrassed by her partner being another asari but also that she was working at a bar during her matriarch age. It might have made her look bad since benezia was held in high regard among the asari.

I think it's a safe bet to assume Athetya is Liara's father, either that or a very odd stalker (not Conrad odd but still).
