I feel like i've been screwed by Bioware.

I chose Miranda for my love interest (As many other people did) but from what i have heard and read so far i feel like i am going to be punished for that choice because she apparently won't be a main squad member.
Many LI's will be however. Liara, Kaiden, Ashley, Garrus and more.
So my question is who feels like they have been screwed over because of their choice in LI ?
Because several LI's wont be a main squad member like several others will be, that will severely lower the amount of interaction you can get with your LI.
People who romanced, say, Liara or Tali will get a much better LI experience than those who romanced Jack or Miranda because they will be permanent squad members. They will be able to talk to their LI after every mission and even during banter in missions. They will be able to continue a relationship on board the Normandy from the beginning of the game whereas others will not. This really really bugs me !
I want to have my darling Miri with me at all times to sooth my shepard after a hard mission !
Anyway im rambling now, I'm sure you get my point. What is everyone elses outlook/opinion ? Am i overreacting ? Do you agree ?
Please discuss !

Also, Dr. Chakwas was in both games, though that would be an akward romance was an NPC and still there was a good friendship, Chambers was an NPC, Joker was an NPC and hilarious , LI was an NPC in the Majority of ME2, so what's the difference? You could still romance with LI in ME2 after SB, well sort of..

Still, where Miranda is concerned, I think we are likely to be pleasantly surprised. ME2 was a very successful game, and Miranda was the most used squadmate in that game, and probably the most romanced character as well. So, in imported games at least, there will be some strong material there to follow up on this.

Any LI now has rough moments. Besides that I already mentioned, Jacob forces you to hit mute every time femShep talks to him. Garrus and Tali were unavailable in first game so their fans had to wait and hope - and Tali is unavailable until H-mission as well as still don't show a face. Jackolytes don't know anything besides "Jack was redesigned", which might turn into "pretty sunshine-bunnies Jack" rather easily, Thane lovers are worried about his possible death. Miranda... well, Miranda still isn't confirmed as permanent, but this doesn't mean this won't happen, and her connection with Cerberus automatically gives her relevance to plot.
And I'm optimistic and don't believe any LIs would be forgotten in character-based game. Especially the one which currently has the longest thread :-P

A character needn't be a permanent team member to have significant interaction with you in ME3. Also look at what is known about Miranda:OzzyMcRcky wrote...

*She will have a large role (Mike Gamble at GamesCom)
*There are several scenes written with her (Mac Walters in a tweet), which means she's not reduced to a cameo.
*Mac Walters said one scene with her was one of the most fun and challenging he's written so far (Tweet again).
*Miranda was even mentioned by that EA executive whose name I always forget.
*Miranda will have "unfinished business" with Shepard. (Mike Gamble at GamesCom)
*Likely she'll be in some kind of trouble (Casey Hudson's tweet)
I, for once, feel confident that there will be enough interesting interaction with Miranda in ME3. At the moment, anyway.
Having said that, I do resent Garrus and Tali in particular, for the totally undeserved distinction of being permanent team members in all three games. So yes, there is some reason to be resentful. But I'll wait. Should it turn out they're just followers without initiative of their own and Miranda turns out to be more important in the big picture I'll forgive them that, even if she's not permanently on the team.

It's true. She sports neither pigtails nor a German barmaid's outfit.

So why is it when you make a decision in game that doesn't turn out the way you wanted, it's somebody elses fault ?
I suspect Miranda will get a significant amount of face time in ME3 especially if it turns out that she maintains loyalty to Cerebrus either because of her sister or because she has been deceptive all along. She afterall has consistantly claimed loyalty to Cerebrus, except for that one Collector base time which could actually be a ruse.
It is possible that dat azz will crap on you. Should this be the case then those who fell for her will be faced with an interesting conflict of either joining with Cerebrus or tossing dat azz out an airlock. Either way Miranda will get a significant amount of gametime.

If she is with you when TIM tells Miranda to stop Shepard and she is unloyal, she doesn't make it. Done that once. She is the hardest ME2 squaddie to kill during the SM. She even takes the bullet in the torso and keeps going, but any other unloyal team leader during that part dies or not suited for the job dies.Trakarg wrote...
