When i try to enter to the site to register my cd key of Mass Effect to obtain the bring down the sky key,the site redirect me to bioware.com.

How can i obtain this key?

contact ea.com support for a key, some have complained of issues where the use limit has met since they have a very limited number of keys to give out.

I have the same issue, I simply see nowhere to type my cdkey into. When I follow the link provided I am redirected to the bioware main page... Any help would be very much appreciated

Yeah, I have the same problem. I went to the "Register" tab on here but that won't work since the first ME isn't even listed there.

EA.com is the only place to get a key, you have to talk to a support rep ie contact ea.com support for a key.  They are giving them out like candy from what I understand.  The only issue is they have a limited amount and the use limits are sometimes being met thus not allowing validation, but they are working on it.

So I've had ME1 on Steam for ages now, and never played Bring Down the Sky. Today I went to get a key from the EA Support chat (http://support.ea.com/chat) and the person I talked to gave it to me without question. He also mentioned some sort of problem with a "limit tool" and said it'd be fixed soon. When I asked for an approximation of how long it'd take to fix said "tool" so I could use the DLC, he merely said that it'd be fixed "sometime."

Kind of weary, I am.

Man this DLC is a real pain. I just got my new HD up and ready to go with ME from Steam.

Needless to say, I've also experienced this problem; EA support said to check back in like 2 days. Hopefully by then I can get it installed.

I also wonder why they dumped the original Bioware accounts; updating BSN with the damn ME 1 registration and DLC would be brilliant (if possible).

They do increase the limits, there is another thread where a poster got it to work on either a second or third try which took a couple of days.

As far as the legacy bioware site, well it got hacked, so they just pulled everything. Since it was only for " old" games, I doubt there is much will to spend the money to fix/ update.

I already had BDTS, but I changed computer and I don't remember how to get it running. Or do I need to get this key that has been mentioned?

I was just told, about an hour ago to subscribe to a Q&A entry from two months ago. And that the solution to my problem was to wait for them to fix it.

EDIT: A second pass did get me a code, though it can't be proceesed at present.

If you had it before, then you should, I hope, still have the key stashed around somewhere.  You can go to EA.com and try to get another but they are only giving out a limited number of different codes, and they are running out of use limits and having to increase it fairly regularly.  While they are out of use limits then you can't authorize the dlc and play it.  Your old code is probably different than the one they are giving out, and thus would be simple and easy to authorize, without having to play the gambling game of does it work now.

Yup, I had the same issue. A quick chat with a EA rep got me a key. Now I'm waiting up to 10 days according to the EA rep to allow more activations . Don't yah just love DRM.

It's a little surprising that a key hasn't been coded to bypass the install limit.

Didnt get any help from EA support, they directed me here http://support.ea.co...4/showhome/true and tole me to click 'notify me' to recieve an update when it is solved.... great

I got my BDTS key from EA support Sunday morning and ran into the same error that Koopaonfire did. I tried the install again this afternoon and it worked fine, so it appears EA has raised the activation limit again.

Hey! whats going on? I've got my MASS EFFECT LEGAL COPY and had a hard time to register because my code was not valid...now...I DOWNLOADED and INSTALLED BRING DOWN THE SKY....and..AGAIN! requests a key ????????????? why????
