Hello everyone. I've recently gotten a new computer, and I've gotten some of the DLC's, and now when I go into Create a Character mode to start a new character, The character model is invisible as well as all the slider bars. Yes, I have some mods installed, like Redesigned and some Hair. They were all working fine before I installed the DLC/Expansions.

I have
v1.04 for DA:Origins with all the DLC's/Expansions recently bought.
Graphics (Built in): ATI Radeon HD 4200.
800+ gb of free space.
4 gb of ram.

Mods.
- Dragon Age Redesigned. (Including Leilana and Morrigan Redesigned)
- Cullen Romance (Mage Origin)
- Dracomies Textures.
- LOTC Eyelashes.
- Pineapple Tree's Vibrat Colors.
- Wedding Scenes for Alistair & Zev.
- More Hairstyles.
- Various face presets.

Any help would be much appreciated. Tyvm and have a nice day.

Oh and also. I can still play my other saves no problem. I just have the urge to make a new character and I find myself unable to.

The HD 4200 isn't supported. There are no onboard chipset video chip devices that are supported. You must use an actual, discrete circuit board to add gaming quality graphics to a PC, save only for the systems containing the most powerful of the AMD "Fusion" APUs, which integrate an HD 6520 into the CPU package.

Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space
Video: ATI Radeon X850 256MB or greater (this is clearly wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce "6600 GT" 128MB or greater (and this one is more wrong)

(Note: IMO, the practical choices for the two video cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 GS, at least, for small textures - it will take a Radeon X1650 XT (or X1800 GTO, same thing, almost) for medium or better textures)

Mm. I realize this. I am currently in the savings for a graphics. But Dragon Age HAS run just fine since I've gotten it over a week ago. I've had no problems despite the graphics until just today.

It's a mod issue, and a fairly common one. I would uninstall all of them and reinstall one at a time. Make sure you have correctly combined the xml files (there is a utility on dragon age nexus to do it for you). There have also been issues with mods when using a mod manager post 1.04 patch.

Oh man, that'll be fun. The XML file stuff, I have done. But I will try that, tyvm. I'm fairly new to modding games on the PC outside of The Sims. xD

My best guess is the presets (or one of them) is the issue. I have LOTCs eyelashes, Dracomies textures, More Hairstyles and PT's Vibrant colors, so I can confirm that those can be made to play nice together.

Hmm. I got rid of all of my mods and the character model still isn't there. I'm guessing it's time to reinstall. Is there anyway I can save my characters so I don't need to start over?

It will actually give you the option to do so during the uninstall process, but I always make a backup as well. Your characters are stored in Documents\\BioWare\\DragonAge\\Characters. Make sure that any appearance mods used specifically on those characters (i.e. The character has a modded hairstyle) are re-installed before you load the character or your character will look...odd. If you can't get one of the required mods to play nice, you can replace the character's mop file; but that is a whole other ball of wax.
