I hope Thessia has a different look that distinguishes it from Illium at least on a visual level when we go there.

I can't believe people want Thessia to be destroyed either, why? because of the Eezo thing? Because you dislike Asari or are you talking about having a Earth vs Thessia scenario?
There's absolutely no reason whatsoever for wanting one of the strongest and wisest civilizations to fall, specially while the Reapers are invading.

I don't know but there is alot of irrational hate directed at the asari on these forums which I find very puzzling.  Maybe it is because some of the asari we specificaly run into in ME 2 don't exactly show their species at its' best.

I think you would find a lot of it due to Liara's plot armor and enforced lovey dovey intereaction with her....and the fact that BW has really pushed that Blue Space Alien babe thing with the Asari.

Well it would have been hard to pull of LoTSB if she had been killable at this point.  I am sure she will be killable in ME 3 and she might even end up dying regardless (I hope not).  As far as the lovey dovey thing goes people would have probably complained if they couldn't continue their romance with her in LoTSB.  So for poor bioware it is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Earth can be completely destroyed as long as the galaxy is still standing.

Hopefully Earth gets destroyed in the intro. I could care less about humans.

So, you people (I don't mean you persoanlly GO) judge the entire species in you bias against a single character? wow.
Also, saying BW pushes space babe with the Asari is like saying they push space Velocirraptor with the Turians, each species have their role seductiveness is to Asari the same that discipline is to Turians.

I'd sacrifice Tuchanka any day of the week, I'm surprised that the reapers are even bothering with that hole.

Well considering we don't know what the payoff will be with Ashley/Kaiden will be in ME 3 so from a series perspective you can't say those that romanced them have been shafted yet.  Maybe from a ME 2 only perspective you could say that but until LoTSB the Liara fans didn't have it any better.

Ummm....actually my Shep never romanced her, but it's still an enforced lovey dovey BFF thing that happens.... And all I was pointing out was what I think many people are reacting to...personally I am not too concerned either way....rather 'meh' on the whole situation myself.

That is why I said for bioware it is damned if they do and damned if they don't with some people.  Since my Liara is my canon LI I was quite pleased with it from my selfish perspective

Yeah but for the most part she is pretty business like and kind of cold.  Which I am fine with btw, it is a darker time period for her character.

In an ideal world I'd like to save both but that depends on if my theory on them being the sleeper agent species isn't true and we wind up with like 80% with the sleeper genes in them if that was the case I'm blowing it up if they're 80% fine and 20% sleeper agents then I'll do what I can but the end goal for me is to kick reaper ass and save Earth. Everyone else's survival to me will be on a case by case bases.

I think they should make both planets destroyable if you intentionally don't save the planets. But, make it that much harder to beat the game with low ship production and indoctrinated Asari commandos attacking them along side Cerberus. But leave some type of option for those who want to save them both.

What's with all these Thessia threads? Did I miss something?

Some people have been feeling genocidal lately this time they want to decimate the asari.

You know come to think of it, the asari would be damn near impossible to completly wipe out.

Think about it: The asari can mate with anyone. A single Asari on any world with sentient species could create a workable population from mating with the locals (she gives birth, her children mate the locals, their children mate with the locals, etc.), combined with their long lifespans, and the fact they seem to be fertile through most of it, The Reapers would have to expend recources by the planetload making sure that every. Single. Last. Asari is six feet under.

The galaxy is friggin' huge too. Even with the Reapers methodical aproach, they are bound to miss a few.

Just wonder what is with all the hate?

The asari have been around for a long time. They are long-lived and have plenty of worlds colonized. In the long run, I'm sure that they can recover from losing Thessia if it comes to that. I'd like to save BOTH homeworlds, but even as a Paragon, I'm not sacrificing Earth to save their homeworld - not because I dislike them but because I think they have the resources, technology and numbers to more easily recover from the loss of the planet.

You see that is a more reasonable stance than some who wanted to sacrifice Thessia because they wanted to make a pro human post war power grab.  Of the two I agree that the asari can afford to lose Thessia more than we can afford to lose Earth but sacrificing either way is only an option if it helps to destroy the reapers some how.

Even without Thessia the Asari will outlive every other species, thanks to their longevity and they way they reproduce. So who cares?
