http://support.ea.co...after reinstall
Happened to me after I uninstalled Dragon Age:Origins and then installed it again. Now I have to do this every few months. Game companies are so worried about people stealing their games and pirating it that they put in security features that largely prevent people who legally paid for the game to actually play it.
When contacting EA chat help though they are always super nice and mostly very helpful but trust me, they will point you to those 2 links over and over and over saying that is the solution to the problem. Even when it isn't and convincing them that you took those steps and it didn't work is a chore and a half.
Because there is a third solution to your problem if the first two links don't work that requires a file called DAUServiceDiagnostic_beta.exe
Here is an excerpt from my chat logs that should help you
EA Support: did you purchase the disk version or the digital version of the game
2362525041: digital
EA Support: Steam or EA download manager?
2362525041: EA
EA Support: ok
EA Support: Can you download and run this Diagnostic application -
EA Support:
http://supportfiles....nostic_beta.exe
2362525041: yes did that too, just ran it again and got this
2362525041:

[Friday Apr 22 10:08:38 2011] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
[Friday Apr 22 10:08:38 2011] | Dragon Age Origins Service Diagnostic 1.04.6.8 finished
[Friday Apr 22 10:08:38 2011] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
2362525041: I also took these steps to solve the problem
2362525041:
-Then go to Services.msc (Control Panel / Admin / Services)
-Refresh services list.
-Find "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater" on the list, right click, and "Start" it.
-Load up game, log out (if logged in), log in - all content should be authorized.
2362525041: but that worked for one session, now its back to not being authorized
Basically now my DLC will work for a random period of time then stop for no apparent reason and I have to take those steps again. This solution is like the first one but for some reason needs that diagnostic file to make it work, which is odd because it appears to just inform you of the error rather than do anything about it but when I try to skip the DAUServiceDiagnostic_beta.exe step at the start of the process it doesn't work.
Note, for me, Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater wouldn't always appear or it would be called something different but always had Dragon Age in the title.
It does look like the old link I got
http://supportfiles....nostic_beta.exe
doesn't work anymore so you may have to contact the customer support online chat to ask for an updated link.
Good luck!
