No it's not.

If you, must wait for a sale.

If you wait for a sale, get it on the PC.

I think the answer is pretty much always PC if you can run it...

I would say do not buy it, rent the thing. Don't waste your money.

Rent a 60 hour game? Really?

Edit: And everyone's saying wait for a price drop, how much is it where you are? Because it's less than 1/2 its RRP new  on amazon.co.uk.

60 hours? Wow you must have been going asleep and leaving it on overnight. Took 20+ to snooze through it on my playthrough.

And (So far) 41:47

Did you skip all the dialogue and side quests?

Are you talking about Origins? I only ask because i clocked similiar times, although the other side of 60.

No i couldn't get into it and basically stumbled through the game not paying a lot of attention so i probably missed side thingies and upgragdes. Didn't skip dialogue although i didn't pay a lot of attention to it after it became apparent that nothing i said mattered. So probably just missing small talk and some side quests.

Edit - One of the saddest thing about my playthrough of it, is that nothing was memorable for me so i don't remember a lot about what i did. I've never experienced that before :crying:

DA2 is worth renting. DAO is like the best RPG since BG2. DA2 is more for people with ADD.

Do not buy Dragon Age 2. Buy Origins. Image IPB

Actually, the wisest thing would be to play the demo, see a walkthrough to some extent, possibly renting the game for a time afterwards, and then decide. You could do something similar with origins.

It's a waste and plain dumb to put money on a product without knowing exactly what it is. Or having a very accurate estimate...

You should buy and play all of them (DAO, DAA, DA2), and come to your own conclusions. ;)

My advice would be stick with Origins Ultimate edition. You can probably find it cheap enough somewhere. DA2 is such a departure (and drop in quality for story and gameplay) in so many ways and doesn't really connect with Origins in any meaningful way. Honestly, don't put yourself through the trouble.

DA2 is not that bad of a game, i just consider it as something to keep us busy while waiting for DA3.
However, if you expect an epic Tolkien-like adventure like DA:O, you will be dissapointed.

If you can get it for 15 bucks it is fine, but any higher you are throwing money away. As many have pointed out in other threads and reviews, DA2 is much more console friendly than PC. Though I played it on the console and was pretty much disgusted by it, but I also expect more from an RPG.

Yeah, I got my copy at the bargain price. I wouldn't pay full price for it, that's for sure.

Long Answer: Oh no. No no no no no no no no no no.........no......no.........no.

Suggestion?

1. Forget DA2
2. Get DAO
3. and Then The Witcher 2, and then Deus Ex Human Revolution, and then Wait for Skyrim.

that's all you need.
