I'm just curious.  Considering the fact that Bioware is going to so much trouble to create a default FemShep look that looks like it could be a full Cinematic Render.  Just because this is the last hurrah of Shepard for ME3 would you be interested in them rendering their full cinematic in both Fem and Male shep?  Would you be more interested in two different trailers.  Maybe some other types of trailers?

Just once I'd like to see a full cinematic (as in full high end rendering non-ingame footage) Femshep trailer since this is the last hurrah of Shepard.  They are gonig to do the normal one anyway.  How hard can it be to just sub in a Femshep and render it twice?

Anyway I just would love to see Femshep like that.  Would you guys be interested alos?  Perhaps if we get enough hits we can get Chris, David's and the marketing department's attention.

Would be awesome, but those trailers are simply too expensive. It takes a LOT of man hours just for a scant few minutes. That money could be better used elsewhere, including promoting Femshep in other media.

Edit: Although I'll confess, I've always wanted to see a Paragon vs. Renegade double cinematic.

Well, I think they will have it, considering all the effort going into fem shep.

I think that's the major idea. Of course they will make a trailer with femshep. Why the hell not? "Expensive"? Not really.

Yeah, there is. It's always the first option.

I would love a femshep trailer, but I agree with those who thinks it's not worth the investment. But if a trailer was already planned, it would be nice for once to have femshep here.

Bioware seriously need to advertise that you can play as femshep. I was talking to a friend at a party and she said she liked Dragon Age. I asked her if she had played ME, she basically said she wasn't interested because it looked male-oriented. I told her you could play as a female and that the choices you make across ME1 & 2 will affect ME3, and there was an opportunity for romance. It sparked her interest.

So to summarise, Bioware needs to market Femshep, because the message isn't getting out to the female gamers. Bioware needs a cinematic advert for femshep, and a game box case that has femshep on it. Customers can walk into a store and pick up a sheploo or femshep game case.

yes, a trailer would be cool, especially if we get some femshep fan service!

Like the Blur trailer? I thought that was one of the reasons for creating a new default FemShep?

I highly, highly doubt a blur trailer. Mostly because I'm pretty sure DS said it's an ingame trailer.

And, blur trailers ARE expensive. I'm not talking thousands here. Think hundreds of thousands. Or more. You're talking about cinematics here that have to be story boarded, designed, rendered, lit, animated, and then editted just like a film would. The assets you see in a blur trailer are not game assets, they've got to be created from the ground up. [For the most part. We can assume bioware does a good amount of the art design. I also assume Blur knows how to do some fancy tricks with reusing their own assets.] But it's not a simple matter of just cut and pasting Femshep into the cinematic.

The only way they could really do it is to have a manshep trailer that also featured Femshep. But at the moment, this trailer we're voting for is an ingame trailer.

[Not that I'd begrudge Bioware for spending some crazy money on Femshep! But, I'm saying that you'd have more impact spending your money elsewhere.]

Well it would be twice as expensive for a starters since they would have to render 2 versions of the trailer.  Personally speaking I have never been a fan of these bull CGI trailers.  I never bother with the CGI trailer for Sheploo and whilst I am a huge femshep fan I wouldn't bother watching the femshep CGI trailer either.

I would much rather see a trailer based on cutscenes and action from the game to give me a better idea of what femshep will look like in the game.

I'm not interested at all in a femshep cgi scene, but I believe there is one on its way.

I loved the ME2 launch trailer with shepard, thane, and grunt tearing up collectors on a colony. I was really impressed when I saw thane jump over that box. It looked so smooth, so nice. I actually wish the mass effect movie were done in that quality, but that's probably asking too much.

:P

Quite honestly, I don't care what BW decides to do, as long as I have my sheploo to play with. Just means I won't watch the trailers or won't watch them more than once unlike their past trailers. But I don't think BW cares either, considering I've already pre-ordered.

Sure, i think a full cinematic femshep trailer would be great! I think it would give all the femshep fans something to get excited about, and this is coming from someone who plays as sheploo all the time lol.

I thought the whole point of the voting was to decide who would get put into the trailers

I kinda thought that'd go hand in hand with all this? It shouldn't be too much effort replacing the model once the animations are done right? Allthough... It'd probably look silly if they just slapped the male animations onto a female body. Oh well, I don't know. If Bioware has the time to do it, by all means go ahead,, if not, just use the time in a more productive way.

I thought the femshep trailer would be in-game, rather than pre-rendered. Making a pre-rendered trailer is expensive as hell, especially when you don't do it in-house like squeenix does. iirc, the Deux Ex E3 CGI trailer cost about $4 million.
