Ofcourse in the likely scenario that Bioware hires Blur to do one as they did for ME2, that would be quite a large financial investment which i'm sure EA is more than happy to throw money at.

But, an ingame trailer could be awesome with some time spent. They've got plenty of their own assets- but it'd be ingame.

Well 20% is actually a quite large pecentage and it may be more if the trailer appeals to more people.

How? I am not arguing on the male side, but I am curious as to why you choose this stance.Knight of Dane wrote...

Bioware seriously need to advertise that you can play as femshep. I was talking to a friend at a party and she said she liked Dragon Age. I asked her if she had played ME, she basically said she wasn't interested because it looked male-oriented. I told her you could play as a female and that the choices you make across ME1 & 2 will affect ME3, and there was an opportunity for romance. It sparked her interest.
So to summarise, Bioware needs to market Femshep, because the message isn't getting out to the female gamers. Bioware needs a cinematic advert for femshep, and a game box case that has femshep on it. Customers can walk into a store and pick up a sheploo or femshep game case.
Only 20% of players played as FemShep, and some were male, but 40% of gamers are female. There's obviously a fan base they're not reaching right now. Since a trailer has already been confirmed, obviously marketing is aware of this.
If you want something to take off, get both genders talking about it. Word of mouth just spreads better that way.

As long as it doesn't feature RedShep, I wouldn't mind.
It's very likely to feature GingerFemShep.
And I'd like a FemShep Trailer.

That's not exactly what he said, or what he meant, I don't think... From what I can vaguely remember, he basically said that they were giving a lot to femshep fans by investing in the trailer, etc., because only a fraction of the fanbase play as her. In other words, while it wouldn't normally be done due to the costs, they are making a femshep trailer anyway, because they are that awesome to their fans.

Has he considered perhaps that maybe only 1/5 of players use it because there are no trailers?
The way to broaded a market is to advertise to them.
