I'm pretty sure something like this has already been posted, so I apologize in advance. Also, I know now that Intel is not officially supported for the game.

Anyway, I recently downloaded the game from Origin without (stupid of me, I know) doing much research on the system requirement. I foolishly assumed that the brand-new laptop I got in December would easily be up to the task. If it all relevent, I have 4G RAM.

Yeah, no. As you can see, I know next to nothing about PC gaming. I'll admit that.

And... now I'm in this pickle.

I have the game's settings as low as possible. When I go to start the game from Origin, the start-up menu comes up and everything. When I click Play, my computer seems as though it is trying to load something, but nothing happens. No black screen, no error message, nothing.

I've watched several videos on Youtube of people claiming to be playing ME on Intel i3 HD graphics, but I'm not really holding my breath that it will work for me.

Any kind of suggestions to get it to run AT ALL?

The only thing i can suggest is making sure you have the latest drivers for the intel graphics chip you are using. Even then no guarentee's it'll work it all seems to be a bit hit and miss based on the machine you are using it works for some and others won't even be able to start the game. You also run the risk of overheating your laptop playing games on it and pushing the hardware to do things it wasn't made for. Just giving fair warning.

I would discount Youtube as being a good reference, unless you can use some directory service to run down an eMail contact with any of the sources for the uploads, and get confirmation. Nevertheless, if you redirect a Google search into here, at least one thread exists saying there's a way to accomplish what you hope, but it really doesn't sound to me as if the result amounts to an enjoyable game.

Thanks, guys!

I feel even dumber now. I ran it as administrator and it's working pretty well. :)
