I followed the provided instructions, but appear to have done nothing. I have the me trilogy...don't know where to find out if me2 is 1.02?? I am new to pc gaming and mods. When the pcc patcher opens and I follow the instructions and hit save packages, it doesn't appear to do anything. I then loaded the game and couldn't figure out how to open the console and didn't notice any difference with any of the new settings. So, either I don't have the 1.02 version or I did something wrong, despite my belief that I followed the directions. Any help would be appreciated. pccpatcher for dummies would be nice.
Just found out that I do indeed have version 1.02. So, am uncertain why it didn't work or what I need to do to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Okay, I was just experimenting with this as well, and here's everything I did, and it worked for me:
With the patcher in the Mass Effect 2 binaries file, open the patcher.
Select the Engine.pcc for the engine, and SFXGame.pcc for the gameplay. These are located in the BioGame CookedPC folder.
Once those are on their respective Engine and Gameplay lines, hit the Load packages button.
The dialog box should say the items loaded successfully.
Now go to the tabs with the modifications, and checkmark each one you want to apply.
Go back to the main tab, and hit the save packages button.
Load up ME2, and you should be able to open the console with ~ (assuming you are using a QWERTY keyboard).
I sincerely hope this is of assistance.
